I’m having high hopes for the Equestrian Games. They would have to have unicorn-specific competitions, since pegasus-specific ones are in. Twilight is an alicorn princess, so she’s likely barred on principle, but Trixie is allowed, and she’s competent.
 
Having learned from her mistakes in the past, and hoping that this will help her career, she’ll participate fairly. However, a competitor will play dirty, either using underhoofed tricks to interfere or even resort to blackmail. Now, it’s up to Twilight and friends to set things right to defend their former rival.
 
Hay, I could even see Trixie representing Ponyville as a way to make up for her past actions. It wouldn’t be too hard for Celestia to set that up.

Alternatively, any other kind of scenario where they spend time together would be nice too.

I’d love to see an episode where Trixie gets some Twilight Time. The teaching kind, I mean, not shipping.
