Yeah, I already knew that wasn’t a good argument the moment I posted it.
Or, you know, they’re humans in a world where magic is normal and our religions don’t exist.
Either they’re making an unwarranted generalization about Muslim women, or they’re making an anti-feminist statement about the ideal Muslim woman.
Either way, downvotes.
So one could argue against pretty much any image of Twilight using magic, then. After all, in most of them, we can assume that she (a) has a religion, which is likely to be one of the ones that have proscribed magic, or (b) is not religious and thus a member of a group that has proscribed magic…
Okay, that was ridiculous of me. I really got myself derailed there. Would you like to hear the actual logic train I intended, or should I just leave so as to avoid further argument?
YOU get to be a muslim!
And YOU get to be a muslim!
EVERYBODY gets to be a muslim!
tumblr pls
You’re probably right. Which makes his comment all the more silly. I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make here.
How many such images are there? As far as I can see there are a total of zero images portraying humanized Twilight (or other uni/alicorn) as christians while performing magic.
Quite true. Even atheists had their own witch trials, when Stalin and Mao tortured and executed indigenous shamans and folk healers for promoting superstition in the workers’ paradise.
But in this case, I’m talking about Islam and not other religions.
That’s nice. When someone posts Twilight wearing a cross necklace and a “WWJD” bracelet be sure to point this out to the artist. Otherwise it’s kind of a moot point.
Perhaps the same could be said of… Well, not all religions, but certainly several rather prominent ones. Ever heard of a witch hunt?
