That’s like saying the New Game+ option on some games is another game because you can do things differently, reboot isn’t the same as a remake, you are thinking remake when I said reboot as it would be the same just made with a newer look, reboot means it’s started over so it can change.
Well, I think “continuation” would be a more fitting word for it considering that the story takes a new path by the end of Evangelion 1.11.
So the reboot movies are really universal reboots, not just a restart of the series??
Well, after End of Evangelion, time was pretty much turned back to the beginning of the series for Rebuild with a few things left intact such as the Sea of LCL and Kaworu’s memories.
