My point is, there aren’t any real squeaking wheels on the brony side; there are many who squeak loudly within their own minds, but make no actual sounds that Hasbro can hear. (Seriously, how many bronies have you seen standing in front of their multi-thousand-dollar toy collection stating to Hasbro that they are done with the show and the merchandise unless Derpy gets another speaking part? It won’t happen. They’ll stew about Derpy being absent, but won’t give up the rest of the show they love. Or they were never useful customers in the first place.)
Once in a while, some paranoid “loss prevention expert” among Hasbro’s less gifted corporate drones will respond to noisy anti-Derpy SJWs whining about hot-button issues. They can’t respond to squeaky bronies because bronies don’t squeak to Hasbro; they squeak to themselves, or to each other at most. You can’t fix that by trying to squeak louder than the squeaky SJWs. You have to pour the ground glass of ridicule rather than grease of appeasement onto the squeaky ones, until their squeaking becomes one final scream, then they STFU permanently.
Or just train other listeners to ignore all the squeaking completely, and think for themselves. Numerous studies have shown that the only “customers” who matter to an organization are the top 20% highly satisfied ones. You can maybe convert the next 10% or so into top satisfied customers, but it’s uncommon. And anyone in the bottom 80% would’ve left you already if they had any better options; if they’re still with you it’s because they’re trapped with you. There’s no benefit to doing anything for them besides doing what you’ve been doing anyway. Nobody who’s in the bottom 30% of highly dissatisfied “customers” is ever worth pleasing. Nothing you do will please them, and even if you could please them somewhat, you can’t please them enough to move them into the loyal top 20%. And any changes you make to try to please them could cost you some of the valuable top 20%.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, but should just get the finger.
You may not have noticed, but those squeaky wheels have been squeaking for some times for a myriad of reasons, everything from “MLP is racist” to “MLP is homophobic”.
Unfortunately, while “the squeaky wheel gets the grease” is actually supposed to be a lament, and a caution to point the squeaky wheel towards the door followed by swiftly kicking it in the ass, most people treat it as literal advice to grease the squeaky wheel. The SJWs, though few in number, will bitch noisily. Sane people will not. They will confine their bitching to pony image board comments, where Hasbro won’t notice. As the Buddha asked, “If a brony bitches on Derpibooru, and nobody from Hasbro is around to hear, does it really count as someone being angry?”

I think basically they don’t know what to do with her in the show any more. Put her in with a ditzy personality and some very vocal and stupid people will be angry that they’re “making fun of the retarded.” Put her in with a revised personality, and more people will be angry that they gave in to the complaining SJWs above, still more that they’re crapping on the fans by changing the character that the fans love, and a few more that they’re crapping on the character who already appeared in “The Last Roundup.” Not putting her in at all angers the fewest people out of a bunch of bad options.

at first i didnt knew if the princess twilight thing will be really for a thing, or just for the sake of adding the title princess because is pretty….. then we got a movie with highschool girls just for the sake of ripping off monster high, so i have a total lack of faith on why they do beside “because we have to do it”….
but i digress, even i dont feel to trust anything she say, the season have been done alright, so it doesnt matter what i think…. and even if it sucked it doesnt matter what i think… haahaha.

she got a ton of micro scenes at MMC…. each of 20 frames of animation probably, in the most obscure corner where no one except the obsesed one will take a look. probably done so the people who keep complaining and asking for her get quiet.
Her Equestria girls cameo the same, 2 scenes with some frames of animation in the most obscure corner where again, only the obsesed one will even take a look, and her little dance at the end of the credits…. yea, the credits where no one will take a look because is waiting on black text for 6 minutes, even some theaters shuted down the movie before that part, so again, low profile, keep her down, because we are ashame of her.
and now, meghan was asked about derpy again, and she said “You saw MMC and Equestria Girls? she will get the same kind of love”… so that mean, at some point she will have her 30 frames of animation in some obscure corner, or under other pony’s croach.
Because it isn’t even about her name, is just about her showing her face, they are not allowed to have a shot of her standing, like in the background buying stuff, or just existing….
but what ever, even i dont feel any joy or exitment for anything the staff or the show is giving, the episodes have been good or at least they dont piss me off, if derpy show on the last episode of the season like she have done lately, i know why, and i get why, but i hope meghan stop pretending like they care and love her damn it.

I never said it was a “win.”… It’s basically a lose-lose situation… If they didn’t edit the name, then the SJW people would still bitch, and Derpygate would still be going on to this day. No matter what they did, people would be upset.
At least, Derpy still gets to be in the show. (Though, she doesn’t seem as common in it as she used to be. Has she even appeared in Season 4 yet?)

If people prefer “Ditzy,” that’s their business. Not all of them prefer it due to the “Derpygate” controversy, or “political correctness,” and that’s kinda an unfair generalization to make. I can’t say I ran into those “Ditzy-fanatics,” (not justifying their bad behavior) but there’s always some fanbrats out there regardless which name they prefer. Some got chewed out before for calling her “Ditzy,” as well.
I kinda prefered “Ditzy-Doo,” I admit, (I know I’m going to take heat for that) but I never had anything against “Derpy,” and I use both names to personally. Does that make me a bad person?
In the original script to the Last Round-Up,” they actually were going to call her “Ditzy-Doo” originally, (which would’ve been a nice call-back to the “Winter Wrap-Up” episode) but changed it to “Derpy,” as a fan shout-out. (I’m sure if they kept it as “Ditzy” fans would’ve been angry over her not being called “Derpy.” So the fan-drama was inevitable.)
For that matter, I still call Bowser by his old name “King Koopa,” and Eggman by “Robotnik” sometimes. Derpy’s not the only character to have more then one name.

then other decided “oh well, i will just use the ditzy name like a real one, and the derpy one a nick name”…. and to me that is kind of worst.
If the only reason you dont use derpy as a name is because people think it means “retarded”, using it like a nick name is almost the same thing…. so yea….
