Say, for example, Equestria Nationals, Changeling Swarm, Gryphon-Minotaur Alliance, and the leftover Cultist Factions as a sort of neutral hostile.
The EN is mostly like the Protoss, and gets to build things like Mineral Farms, which go over normal Mineral patches like Vespene refineries, but allow for unlimited Mineral access, at the cost of taking a full second longer per harvest. As well, they get shields on their unicorns and a balance of strong, well-tuned forces that work well together. Their weakness is when they’re separated, or in small groups.
The Changeling Swarm has the organic feel of the Zerg, but are mobility-oriented. Their troops are cheap and agile, with a lot of movement possibilities, and their structures can either be garrisoned with troops to make them mobile, or can be deconstructed for a percentage of their cost, based on health. Up to 90% of the resources can be recovered, if deconstructed at max hp, meaning they can move their bases relatively easily, without too much waste.
The GMA is full of high-powered units with high cost and a lot of offensive abilities, but a rather small pool of defensive options. They are meant to build up forces and strike like a juggernaut, leaving them vulnerable to the Swarm’s high-speed strikes, but very effective against the EN, who can be disabled by smashing a single leg of their battle force out, if done with a heavy enough hand.
The Cultist Factions are just a random assortment of various Cultists, ranging from Nightmare Moon worshipers, to the so-called Children of Discord. Mostly, they’re just speedbumps to make sure you use actual troops to scout around, not workers.
