waysI’m the same way. All 3 ways. XD
Wonder what these two comments were about…
One posted here, and another posted on the closest other Lemongrab picture.
This so much.
The internet was, is, and always will be “unsafe” for children. Derpibooru is “unsafe”. Wikipedia is “unsafe”. Google is “unsafe”. If you think children should be protected from seeing all NSFW content, then don’t let your kids near a computer (or phone) without supervision. Even ignoring right and wrong, you can’t realistically expect the other 7 billion people on Earth to completely censor themselves simply because you ask nicely.
I say “unsafe” in quotation marks because the internet is vastly safer than your average suburban road. Nobody has ever been hospitalised or needed therapy because they saw goatse.
Also, to further the road analogy, you don’t just stick your toddler unsupervised on the pavement while you complain about all those terribly dangerous drivers. You teach your children how to interact with roads safely - how to check for traffic, how to cross them, why you shouldn’t play ball games next to traffic, etc. Similarly, parents and schools should teach children from a very young age how to use the internet safely. Rather than getting angry at everyone else, give kids the skills they need to avoid unpleasant content.
This fan base is also targeted by the media because such things are so “easy” to find, but it does not help the matter any to make image macros basically declaring that the fans have literally made the fan base “unsafe for children”. I almost - ALMOST - agree with the DWM fruitcakes on that point, but as you said - kids shouldn’t be unsupervised on the computer in the first place (plus, it’s just as easy to find porn of literally EVERYTHING).
I just don’t see the value of openly advertising, “Hey, we have completely shit on what your children love”. It’s pretty much like wandering onto a rifle range WEARING a target.
I have no idea what NTR is, and I suspect I’m happier that way.
The show is still suitable for children - indeed, people of all ages - but that is not the problem. The problem is that, on the Net, there is a lot of stuff that kids should not be seeing; the focal point of the show is irrelevant in this case.
Also, does the Hub webpage have snuff, tentacle rape, NTR, and Justin Biber on it? THAT is where the issue is.
While no, children shouldn’t be on the internet without supervision, there’s still an underlying implication here that the show somehow “isn’t for” little girls anymore. Also, by your thinking, even the Hub site would be “unsafe” for a little girl, which is also untrue.
Ummm, kids REALLY shouldn’t be viewing MLPFIM sites without parental supervision. There’s a reason the series proper avoids “clop” puns.
I sometimes talk to myself or imagine stuff like my head is a TV.
And I’m 20 years old.
And by extention: it isn’t violence or sex either, it’s pictures of violence or sex.
The episode where the writers completely fucked up Finn’s relationships.
Mais qu’est ce que tu nous raconte encore toi ?
@TheAbridgenator
If God is imaginary, the only arbiter of morality is humanity. Since that’s the case, being “good” or “evil” is only a matter of preference. Things like murder and stealing aren’t actually wrong, they are just something you don’t want to happen to you.
Of course it’s not a pipe. It’s a picture of a pipe.
I always found it amusing how many churches espouse the idea of de-prioritizing our connections to the mortal world for a more intimate relationship with God, when the most intimate relationship with God I have ever seen was still a chilly one-way relationship, which would be considered creepy and unhealthy in any other context.
@Dr_Robotpony
When a child talks to an imaginary friend, they’re just a child. They’ll grow out of it, it’s cute for now.
When an adult talks to an imaginary friend, they’re crazy. Lock ‘em away for their own sake.
When an adult talks to an imaginary friend and calls him God, they’re religious and nothing happens.
|| BLOO IS THE JEEBUS. ||
La trahison des images, motherfuckers!
For those of you not familiar with the subject: they wouldn’t be looking at violence or sex, just visual representations of them, ergo there will be little negative impact on children viewing such things
