I’d say AJ for Mako and Pinkie for Bolin. Applejack just fits being very protective of family and doing whatever it takes to survive. Also scarf/hat momento.
 
It works better when Korra is Rainbow Dash since she and Mako butt heads a lot like RD and AJ do.
 
And Pinkie suits Bolin’s hyperactive lifestyle.

Strangely, though Twilight Sparkle is thematically similar to Korra what with the ‘chosen one’ from a normal family and was soon given a great gift for her mastery over the Elements… I think Rainbow Dash works better personality wise.
 
I mean the bull-headed stubbornness, sometimes getting overly aggressive that she regrets later on, loyalty to her friends and family, and the attitude of ‘I don’t want to be normal, I want to be SPECIAL, damnit!’ seems far more Dash-like

Nah, they’ll get back together eventually. If anything, I liked they had a fight, it makes their relationship slightly more natural.
