yes she probably tinked she defeated them, still consider those times after a short time the freak apeared back again, also again consider “blow down a full planet” its not the same as shooting him down or anything like that

Lets put it like this.
 
If you have a sworn enemy and you beat him down to hand to hand yet he comes back next time just looking more ugly…ok its belivable.
 
Next time you shoot him down, hard to belive but hey. theres people who survive being stabed on the head with a knife or worst things
 
Next time you cut down his arm and leave him to bleed, same thing
 
Next you actually make a hole on his chest and leave him to die, next time he comes back like a cyborg.
 
Then you blow down a full town with an atomic bomb…
 
Get where im geting at?…the first scenarios altought hard still allow to survive, last one its virtually imposible to, in that sense you have two options, get pissed out as hell or actually freak out, and lets face it most people “will” freak out at this point.
 
Im not defending her personality on the overall game but again, people dont seem to get why she reacted the way she did and less get its actually a normal “human”.
 
As an extra, i dont remember where it was but there was an intervew where some soldiers actually sid samus reacted exactly the same way many soldiers do on the battle field.

Ridley fights…
 
One in the original Metroid, with a fight against a robot Ridley added in the remake.
 
One in the first Prime.
 
Two in the third Prime.
 
Two in Super Metroid.
 
Six or seven fights, depending on how you count it. All but two of those fights appeared to kill Ridley, so seeing him come back from the dead is only so much of a surprise at that point.
 
Put simply, it’s an odd time to decide that Samus would freeze.

I’m pretty sure she thought he was dead when she “defeated” him those other times right up until he came back afterwards.

dude….samus canonically has killed ridley only 1 time, and at that time she blew off a freaking planet with him inside, all the others he has been defeated and revived becoming more and more “metal” till he was more machine than organic.
 
That said it still surprises me people tink samus freezing its out of character, furtermore it surprises me people dont get samus suffer from PTE disorder.
 
Now to put it simple. Samus blew a freaking planet with her “sworn” enemy inside, she tought he was gone for sure…now sudendly the freak pops out of nowhere fully recovered and aparently stronger than before…tell me you wouldnt freak out just like her..again “a freaking planet” and the fucktard its there again

samus’ behavior wasn’t the only issue with other M (except for the freezing up while fighting ridley. seriously, she’s killed ridley a dozen times before then) it was mainly the poor writing and them giving her heels. they made her fragile and weak when she’s always been strong willed and set in her convictions. giving her a sense of compassion isn’t out of character, but they took away the warrior’s heart she’s always had in other games in the process.

… I just realized this might be the first game ever in which megaman will be able to crouch!

Shigeru Miyamoto said something like that, but I think he was just implying if it didn’t do well, then we probably won’t be seeing anymore SF games for awhile… (Though, we usually only get a new one every 6 or 7 years usually anyways.)
 
Still, if that’s the case then why the heck did they release “Sta Fox 64 3D” so close to “Ocarina of Time 3D”‘s release? That game kinda overshadowed it, as a result, and I barely saw any attention for SF643D. I hear it sold decently anyways, so hopefully they don’t kill off the series…

finally capcom does something smart…it was about time…with all the flops and stupid descisions they have took latlely….lets hope next anoucement its a DMC 5 with cool Dante (hoefully with “donte” impaled on the background by Nero)
