Description
I hope everyone had a spectacular Mare Fair this year! The art in this little segment was made by yours truly over the last few months and assembled by the amazing art design lead, the musicians, and the animation team that put the entire animation together in Blender. I know a few things about the behind-the-scenes development of the animation and… honestly, I’m just overjoyed to have played a part in the opening ceremonies and all the various other bits and pieces of Mare Fair I was able to contribute to (like a buncha stuff on the website, a banner or two, etc). It all ended up being very well worth the efforts as now Kim at the Fallen Oak Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation is going to be able to care for even more real life horses than ever before! To me, that feels very special. My role may have been a small one, but I’m forever grateful to have been here at this time to play it. Also, it was cool to meet so many new people, including some very long time friends of mine. I could not have asked for a better turn of events.
It’s my hope that I can help with next year’s con as well, hopefully playing an even… bigger role? We’ll see! It took many months of effort and containing my own personal excitement as I saw each piece of the event conglomerate and build up, so it’s a relief and a privilege to now be able to share the art that I helped make for the con. I’ll try to see what other sorts of work I can start getting uploaded as well as I have… so much to get on here, con related and otherwise. I might pick certain days to just mass upload a set amount of sketches/colored sketches/actual complete art just to be courteous to my fellow horse lovers on here, so stay tuned! When it does happen, it’ll probably be one of those very sudden sorta deals, so at least it’ll be something to look forward to…?
Until next we meet, I hope y’all decide to keep it classy, ponefriends ;)

Fair is absolutely adorable in your style - really love how expressive she is, and she positively rocks that toga. Also amused by how she uses her wings to support herself on the pole, quite a rare sight!
