Vanilla Dawn is a 35 year old unicorn mare, born and raised in Manehattan to a family of minor Equestrian nobility, and now working as a renowned and sought-after wedding planner. Known to be a calm yet focused mare with plenty of common sense, she is nevertheless a true professional who can be trusted to make a wedding day memorable for all the right reasons.
Vanilla is a mare who loves the finer things in life, but has remained grounded and humble- and through personal experience with certain members of the nobility, has developed a healthy disdain for them and their ways, far preferring the company of working class ponies, to that of her high-born peers.
Her parents, though both noble born themselves, agree with and support their daughter in her assessment of the generally toxic behaviour of the upper classes. Her father, an oil magnate who is currently in remission from cancer, is appropriately named Black Gold. Vanilla’s mother, Diamond Jubilee, a former model, now works alongside her daughter when not helping her beloved husband get through ordinary day-to-day tasks.
Physically, Dawn as her friends call her, is a little taller than average for a unicorn mare at 4 feet and 3 inches tall, and weighs in at 71lbs, or 32.2kgs. She is very fit and healthy, yet retains her curves in all the right places. Dawn is a mare that loves to run, and as she lives in the rich suburbs of the city in her family’s mansion and extensive estates, she has plenty of space to do so. Her favourite place of all to relax in is an ancient mossy stone circle that was constructed on what was to eventually become her family’s land.
While not a vain mare by any stretch of the imagination, Vanilla likes to look good, and does indeed spend a lot of her free time on personal care and grooming, exhaustively maintaining her silky coat, and her mane and tail. Vanilla loves to drink wine in moderations as well, and has a soft spot for fruity, sweet rosé wines in particular. After a long day, you’ll often find her nursing a glass or two before she goes to bed for the night.
It is noted that Vanilla Dawn was one of the mares that was involved in helping to plan what later became the infamous “Canterlot Wedding” of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, and then Captain Shining Armour. She was brought in by Princess Celestia personally and was put in charge of wedding decorations, while other wedding planners were working on other parts of the celebration.
It was during the early stages of her time in Canterlot that she was captured, cocooned, and substituted by a Changeling infiltrator that assumed her identity. Luckily for her, she was still relatively healthy after being released from her cocoon after the Changelings were ejected from Canterlot and only stayed in hospital for a few days before being taken home by her parents. For her part, Dawn doesn’t remember anything of the ordeal apart from waking up in hospital.
When it comes to more personal matters, Vanilla Dawn is heterosexual, and has no issues regarding the species of a potential suitor. All she really wants is to be loved for who she is. However, because of all of those who just want to marry into money or nobility, or even just those that just want a “roll in the hay,” she is decidedly picky, and especially despises “fuckboys.”
Treat this mare with courtesy, respect, honesty, and chivalry, and perhaps one day in the future, this mare will be planning your own beautiful wedding.
