Attack on Firelight and Stellar Flare - Episode 3 - A Huge Disaster in Los Angeles
Summary: Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst must do everything they can and save Los Angeles from Firelight and Stellar Flare, who are targeting the city.
Following the destruction caused by her father and Stellar Flare the previous night in Chicago, Starlight Glimmer returns to her own world, bringing her friend, Sunburst, and then enters back in the same city with her friend, letting him know about what has happened.
“What do you mean my mother and your father are evil?” Sunburst asked Starlight Glimmer, looking confused about what she meant, despite himself not being present last night.
“Sunburst, please, you gotta listen!” Starlight Glimmer told Sunburst, as she needs him be on the same page as her. “They had red eyes and dark magic, and also giants, and they’ve killed so much people around this city yesterday. I saved nine heroes who are known as humans, and right now, we gotta figure out how we can save Los Angeles tomorrow!”
At first, Sunburst, still didn’t believe Starlight Glimmer, but then he finally understood what she was telling him.
“Okay, so we now have parents who are being the villains and me and you are playing the roles as heroes, saving citizens from the next city you just mentioned…” Sunburst said, coming to an agreement with Starlight.
Starlight Glimmer nods, seeing that herself and Sunburst share an objective that is the same.
The two unicorn ponies continued walking through the streets and take a look around the city, where buildings have been either destroyed or damaged from the destruction that the other two giant unicorns caused, whose whereabouts are not known yet.
Searching for more survivors across the city, Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst are experiencing the huge hoofprints left behind from their giant-sized parents.
“So, these are hoofprints coming from our parents, am I correct?” Sunburst asked Starlight Glimmer.
“That is correct.” Starlight Glimmer answered her friend’s question. “Every hoofprint you see, not just on the streets, they are also left on buildings and vehicles they have stepped on. In case you wanna know where they are, they disappeared last night.”
“But where are they now?” Sunburst asked Starlight Glimmer.
“Unfortunately, that I can’t explain, since my father placed me under a sleeping spell where I couldn’t even find him, not even teleportation was available.” Starlight Glimmer replied.
Sunburst was feeling that Firelight and Stellar Flare may still be targeting Los Angeles soon tomorrow, and he and Starlight should be prepared protecting the city and meet the nine human heroes tomorrow.
On the other hand, Starlight Glimmer was having a bad feeling that the two giant unicorns could be plotting something against them that they don’t even know of.
“You know, it is funny that our parents are evil and they might have carried out something that not even myself can tell.” Starlight Glimmer told Sunburst.
“Huh?” Sunburst asked with a confused look on his face.
Starlight spoke, saying, “Our parents may not be around this city anymore, but they do have a plan where they might go after us if we find them in Los Angeles after today.”
“What you mean is that our parents will destroy us both even though we are their children?!” Sunburst asked Starlight Glimmer.
“I’m afraid so…” Starlight nods her head.
“This is not good… This is not good…” Sunburst was getting worried that tomorrow, when he and Starlight fight Stellar Flare and Firelight in Los Angeles, the two giant unicorns will target them when they interfere.
Knowing that they must stay in Chicago for today and wait until tomorrow where they are allowed to visit Los Angeles, as Victor already told Starlight Glimmer about this last night.
Later that night, it was around 11:25 PM, and Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer are entering a neighborhood, South Side. This is where John and Hannah’s houses are next near Walter’s house. Knowing that John, Hannah and Walter are still in Los Angeles at this moment with the other heroes, the two unicorn ponies decided they should knock on someone’s door, one that is neither John and Hannah’s nor Walter’s.
Fifteen seconds later, the two unicorn ponies heard a knock on the door, and Starlight and Sunburst came closer towards the doorstep, and when the door opened, it reveals to be a woman in her 30s with blonde hair, blue eyes, light blue pajamas.
“Anything I can do for you?” The woman asked Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst.
“Yes, me and Sunburst are looking for a home where we can sleep for the night.” Starlight replied, seeing herself in a place where she needs comfortable sleep.
“Alright, come on in! I just got the exact perfect spot where you two can enjoy a good rest for the night.” The woman offered the two ponies in her house. Sunburst walked in the house first and then Starlight Glimmer walked in the house next. She closed the door with her magic.
Appearing in the living room, Starlight and Sunburst saw two separate purple couches, and they could hardly wait and just sit on the couch and sleep on it for the night.
“The name’s Jennifer, and I’m friends with John, Hannah and Walter!” The woman introduced herself as Jennifer, having known John, Hannah and Walter for a while. “Now tell me, what has been happening lately?”
Sunburst started explaining the current situation, saying, “My mother and Starlight’s father attacked this city as giants the previous night, and they are gonna attack Los Angeles tomorrow late morning.”
“Oh, I remember hearing that on the news this morning.” Jennifer recalls watching the news earlier. “I first heard about it when I was getting ready for my usual exercise routine in this house, and when I looked at the TV, I noticed the two ponies you mentioned on the screen.”
“Glad you remembered.” Starlight Glimmer said, seeing happiness that Jennifer was still remembering about the event that happened the other night.
“Okay, I will let you ponies sleep in the living room for the night.” Jennifer told Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer, as she walked back into her room and closed the door. “Oh, and I left the blankets for you, too!” She added before closing her door to get some sleep herself.
Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer sat on the two couches and levitated the blankets on themselves so they can sleep for the night.
“Let’s make sure we wake up at the right time during the morning…” Sunburst told Starlight Glimmer, which was the last thing he could say for the night before resting.
“Got it.” Starlight Glimmer responded before she went to sleep.
As the night went on, everyone was feeling determined for the battle against Firelight and Stellar Flare in Los Angeles, the city where the eleven human heroes are currently located, and the same thing for Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst in Chicago, sharing the same objective as the others.
The next morning, in Chicago, it was 7:00, and Starlight and Sunburst woke up and saw Jennifer coming out from her room and check in on them.
“Good morning, ponies!” Jennifer told Starlight and Sunburst, as the former was dressed in a robe. “Did you both enjoy having some good old rest during the night? Because I sure got myself some nice sleep.”
“Mm-hmm.” Sunburst and Starlight responded.
“I guess we shall go see Los Angeles right now.” Starlight Glimmer told Sunburst, knowing that today is the day where they must visit the city that they know is where they are going.
However, Sunburst checked the clock on the oven in the kitchen, seeing that the time in Chicago is two hours ahead of the time in Los Angeles right now.
“Um, Starlight… The time is 7:01, and the clock would be 5:01 in Los Angeles, so we should try and wait until afternoon starts, otherwise we’d be arriving very early.” Sunburst said, seeing things being different between Los Angeles and Chicago over the time.
“I don’t really care about what time it is in Los Angeles, I say we leave at 11:00 AM and then head straight for Los Angeles.” Starlight Glimmer planned on taking herself and Sunburst in the city in California before at least 10:00.
About almost three hours later, the two unicorn ponies are still sitting at the table. Right now, it was 10:59 AM, and Starlight Glimmer has her eyes open whereas Sunburst has his eyes closed, and is more likely sleeping.
Then, thirteen seconds passed and the clock reached 11:00 on the oven, and Starlight Glimmer tapped on Sunburst’s head with her head to wake him up.
Sunburst started waking up from his rest and noticed that now’s the time they leave Chicago immediately and enter Los Angeles at this moment.
“Okay, now we gotta get going!” Starlight Glimmer told Sunburst.
“Oh, right.” Sunburst chuckled, having forgotten about the part where they must save Los Angeles and save the people, too.
Starlight Glimmer teleported her and Sunburst in Los Angeles and take a look around for a while before Firelight and Stellar Flare arrive and cause destruction towards the city when they make an appearance.
“Everything seems all silent right now…” Sunburst chuckled, fixing his glasses a little.
“Yeah, at least before those two giant evil unicorns arrive.” Starlight Glimmer told Sunburst, reminding him that Firelight and Stellar Flare are approaching near. “Time is getting more quicker and quicker on us, and they are no joke. And we sure do have parents who are merciless.”
Deciding that they should do at something important least for the sake of time, the two unicorn heroes started taking a trip down the road and head for the Los Angeles City Hall.
The building, which stands before Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, was a very busy place. Seeing the doors which will lead them to the main entrance inside the building, and many people are inside the building.
“I guess we should go inside.” Sunburst said, walking in the building first, and Starlight Glimmer walks behind him afterwards, hoping they can try something important.
Inside the entrance, the ponies see multiple visitors walking around the building, and it was crowded, and Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst try walking through the crowd without bumping into a single person along the way.
When they keep searching around the building, they have seen everything just as normal as things should be. However, they saw a pony who appeared before them. It turns out that this pony is the bookstore owner, Raspberry Latte.
“Well, look who it is, one of the bookstore owners from Sire’s Hollow.” Sunburst said with a surprised look on his face. “What are you doing at a place like this?” He asked.
“I just came outta the mayor’s office doing something paperwork for the mayor.” Raspberry Latte told Sunburst and Starlight, having been papers for the mayor recently. “Anyways, what brings you two here?”
“Um, me and Sunburst are taking a look around this building and try and do something that can us put us in a good mood.” Starlight Glimmer places her front left hoof behind her head, getting a little nervous. “We do wanna try going somewhere inside this building that’ll give us a good view!”
Raspberry Latte pointed her hoof straightforward, telling them to go and take an elevator, where they can go get a view at the top.
“Oh, okay. Thanks.” Both Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst took the advice from Raspberry Latte and head straight for the observation deck.
One hour later, it was 10:27 AM, and Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst have already left the building. Now, the two ponies are walking on the sidewalks in the Los Angeles city. Feeling popular with the residents, Starlight and Sunburst are imagining they will be movie stars.
“You know I can’t help myself aside from dreaming about me and you becoming movie stars!” Starlight Glimmer told Sunburst.
“That seems… nice.” Sunburst laughed somewhat nervously, agreeing with the idea becoming the future movie stars in Los Angeles, alongside Starlight Glimmer. “We can get some tickets and go on some rides in Venice Beach!” He added.
“Good news is that everything seems…” Starlight Glimmer was interrupted when she and Sunburst eventually heard an explosion from a building nearby, from the left.
Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer look confused and puzzled over where the sound was coming from. They saw people running and getting out of their vehicles, knowing that it is what Starlight and Sunburst have expected.
“Oh, no…” Sunburst started having a worried look on his face, already telling that his mother and Starlight’s father are within the city approaching.
“Is something wrong?” Starlight Glimmer asked Sunburst.
“Look, behind us! Turn around!” Sunburst told Starlight Glimmer, pointing his hoof at the two giant evil unicorn ponies who started causing havoc in the city.
Firelight and Stellar Flare are still giants, though not the same size as before, since they have shrunk themselves a little. The two unicorns started laughing very evilly as they saw the buildings started falling on each other and catch on fire and also seeing the people running away from them, like they should be, knowing the two ponies are a threat to the city.
“We have another city that must destroyed!” Stellar Flare laughed even further, seeing her and Firelight’s plan coming handy. “You know what they say, giants cause huge destruction and that’s exactly what we plan on doing right now!”
“First was Manhattan, second was Chicago, and now, Los Angeles becomes the city that’ll be destroyed, except this time, it’ll be everything and everyone in it!” Firelight said, declaring the whole city being crushed underneath his and Stellar’s hooves. “You all must look upon us, because we are the most dangerous ponies around the block!”
Stellar Flare looked down and noticed that her son is with Starlight Glimmer, something she was hoping for the whole time.
“Hey, Firelight. Guess who Starlight Glimmer has brought along with her.” Stellar Flare told Firelight, letting him know that Starlight has a special guest with her. “Looks like Sunburst shows up and gets in my way, too.”
“It appears that we have both ponies at last!” Firelight was surprised that his daughter would bring her friend along and be involved in the current situation.
“Mom! Leave this people alone! Stop hurting them!” Sunburst said, demanding his mother and Starlight’s father to stop causing harm towards the residents. However, Stellar Flare and Firelight laughed at this, considering this being a joke.
Stellar Flare, smirking at Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer, responded, “Oh, no! You don’t tell us what to do! We are the parents and you won’t be yelling at us! Obey your mother, Sunburst!”
“Sunburst, we gotta run.” Starlight Glimmer told Sunburst, running away from Firelight and Stellar Flare as they begin firing magic beams towards them.
Trying the best dodging the incoming attacks from the evil giant unicorns, Starlight and Sunburst kept running as quick as they could before a single blast can hit them. While running, though, the blasts have destroyed vehicles Sunburst and Starlight have ran past through the streets.
As the blasts grew larger, Firelight and Stellar Flare could no longer detect their children insight. So, they decided they should stop firing magic blasts and go search for Starlight and Sunburst immediately.
“Hey, where did they go?” Firelight wondered where Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst are hiding right now.
“They couldn’t have escaped that far! I know we have killed them from firing magic blasts at those little ponies! They’re not gonna trick us into believing they’ve won!” Stellar Flare started walking, searching the smell for her son and Firelight’s daughter.
“Come out, come out! We know you two are around this place!” Stellar Flare shouted, kicking another building in frustration. “Come out before we destroy everything!”
“Behind you!” Starlight Glimmer said from behind, firing at Stellar Flare while she was not looking at her, hitting her back left hoof.
Firelight turned around, and he realized that Starlight Glimmer tricked them, having used a teleportation spell, resulting in her and Sunburst appearing behind Stellar Flare and Firelight after they have finished firing magic blasts at them.
“What?!” Firelight reacted with anger.
“How could they have fooled us so easy and catch us off guard like that?!” Stellar Flare was not understanding how Starlight Glimmer is so capable with teleportation.
Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer unleashed the magic from their horns, and Stellar Flare and Firelight doing the same thing at the exact same time.
In the magic beam struggle, Firelight and Stellar Flare are getting the upper hoof, pushing Sunburst and Starlight’s magic back despite the two still fighting back as hard as they could regarding how big the other two unicorns are.
“No matter how much try and push, Stellar Flare and my magic combined together are extremely far more powerful than the two of yours!” Firelight laughed evilly, determining that his daughter and Sunburst can’t defeat him and Stellar Flare given the fact they are smaller compared his and Stellar’s size.
“Fine, if you wanna play hard, then I guess we gotta play hard!” Sunburst told his mother, never giving up from protecting the people and do whatever he could that will make him successful in the end.
Without even looking at his friend’s face, Sunburst told Starlight Glimmer as he was looking furious towards his mother and Firelight, “Starlight, I believe now’s the time we increase the magic inside us even more. Everyone’s counting on you and me!”
“I heard you.” Starlight Glimmer responded, before increasing her magic a bit some. Sunburst did the same, and they both pushed Firelight and Stellar’s magic back.
“It doesn’t matter how much they increase their magic together, we still are the stronger unicorns and we have the upper hoof!” Stellar Flare slammed her hoof down loudly, knocking Starlight and Sunburst down.
Proving not so successful against Firelight and Stellar Flare in a magic beam struggle, Starlight Glimmer, worrying that her father and Sunburst’s mother might end up getting more stronger each and every minute, realized that time is still being wasted as they are losing so far.
“Hmm, I gotta try and go under them and then shrink them.” Starlight Glimmer said in her mind, knowing that she just needs a plan that they can prevent Firelight and Stellar Flare from destroying Los Angeles any further.
Sunburst looked back, seeing the buildings catching on fire, and other buildings destroyed, and even saw tinies seeking a hiding spot, at least somewhere safe for now.
“Now’s my chance!” Starlight Glimmer said, making her choice right now, and get behind the two unicorns.
Unfortunately, Firelight and Stellar Flare could easily spot her trying an attempt to go behind them and believe they will do just Sunburst alone.
“Oh, no you don’t! You won’t be getting away with going past behind me and Firelight again! The same old tricks…” Stellar Flare levitated Starlight back and threw her onto the ground.
“We can tell what trickery you are doing, so don’t even try and bother performing that stupid move again.” Firelight told Starlight Glimmer, already sensing his daughter’s presence through her teleportation skills.
Standing back up on her four hooves, Starlight Glimmer was still confident for a fight, and she was not giving up either way.
“It’s not over until we say it’s over!” Starlight Glimmer said, breathing so hard she could use her last strength against the evil giant unicorn ponies.
“You honestly believe anypony’s gonna care about what you say, Pumpky-Wumpkin!” Firelight insulted his daughter for her petty protests. “You should know how pathetic you are! If you and Sunburst can’t stop us, then there’s no hope of defeating me and Stellar Flare! We will destroy everything in Los Angeles and this city will eventually be no more!”
“Stop calling me that!” Starlight Glimmer yelled at her father, telling him to stop calling her names she doesn’t like being called.
However, Firelight was angered by her daughter’s defiance, and he levitated her towards him, making her feel terrified as she is very close towards him in his eyes.
“How does it feel, knowing be close towards your own father who is under the dark side and he can’t control himself?” Firelight asked Starlight Glimmer, wondering how dangerous it was having her towards him while his magic was still in use.
Firelight threw his daughter back to the ground again, and he laughed maniacally.
All that Firelight and Stellar Flare is just destroying Los Angeles and killing every human in the city, as well as destroying so many structures until they are damaged or completely destroyed forever.
“Just stay down.” Stellar Flare told Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer, suggesting they didn’t interfere with her plans again, something she is sharing with Firelight.
“You two are not getting away with killing those people!” Sunburst chased after his mother and Firelight who started walking, and leave hoofprints on the street, but Stellar Flare kicked him with her back hoof, sending him towards Starlight Glimmer and hit her, and the two ended up on the ground.
Back with Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, they are hiding sitting behind a lamppost, discussing how they should get back at their parents for good.
“If we don’t stop them, they’ll have everything for themselves and kill all these innocent people!” Sunburst told Starlight Glimmer just as he was getting exhausted, still he can’t give up just yet.
“I understand, and I know how I’m feeling the pain inside you and inside me.” Starlight Glimmer started crying over how emotional she has been about the destruction her father and Stellar Flare have been causing for two days straight. “Everything’s tough when you have parents being the villains and me and you playing the roles as heroes makes a difference.”
Sunburst comforted his friend, telling her with his advice, “You are right, and we must fight back and save the people in this city. They are counting on us both!”
Wiping the tears from her eyes, Starlight Glimmer regained her happiness and understood the words Sunburst has given her. They hugged each other, knowing that staying with each other is the only way they can become victorious.
“I’m gonna have a feeling that if we stick together and come up with the right idea on how we can stop our parents from destroying Los Angeles, we might win.” Starlight Glimmer said.
“Don’t worry, I’m still with you. I agree with you. One-hundred percent confident.” Sunburst was still in an agreement with his friend’s plan, and would never disagree about it. “My mother and your father are not gonna keep hurting these people anymore!”
“For a friend like you, I can trust you as long as you trust me.” Starlight Glimmer, feeling confident that her plan will end in success, walked with her friend and follow the hoofprints caused by Firelight and Stellar Flare.
Elsewhere, Firelight and Stellar Flare, who are still on the run, continue firing magic blasts at multiple buildings with people inside as they could not escape in time. They also fired magic blasts at the people on the streets, killing them, too.
The evil unicorn giants would never stop laughing from anyone and anything being destroyed, and things have been looking even worse. The nightmare was still going, and the tinies proved too useless to even stop them. Even so, the two giant unicorns kept on stomping through the streets as they were still in the mood killing more and more humans and destroy more buildings.
Anyone caught in the path ended up being destroyed and killed by the massive-sized unicorn ponies. The other humans who ran as quick as they could tried the best they could surviving as long as possible.
Firelight and Stellar Flare kicked, stomped, and knocked over buildings as the destruction they have caused grew even more. However, while they kept on doing so, someone targeted the large stallion with a magic blast, hitting Firelight in the back hooves.
“Who goes there?” Firelight wondered who stood in his way while he was having his fun destroying the people and buildings.
Stellar Flare stopped herself following the question from Firelight. The two giant evil unicorns turned around and they reacted in shock, seeing that Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst are in the way again.
“Ooh, you two are so dead!” Stellar Flare screamed in frustration, having enough with her plans being interrupted.
“Okay, you both asked for it!” Firelight told Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, getting pushed to the limits and he can’t take it anymore. “I don’t care if you both are the children to me and Stellar Flare, we’re still gonna kill you!”
Firelight and Stellar Flare fired magic blasts at Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, but luckily enough, Starlight teleported herself and Sunburst before the blast could strike them.
Now appearing before the two giant unicorn ponies, Starlight Glimmer fired her magic at Stellar Flare, shrinking her with a shrinking spell she has been coming up the whole time. Now, Stellar Flare was the same size as Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst.
Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst laughed, finally tricking Firelight and Stellar Flare with a spell they never heard about up until this point.
“No…! This can’t be possible…! You shouldn’t have…!” Firelight glares at his daughter and Sunburst with more hatred and more anger towards them. “I’m so gonna make you regret for what you’ve done to Stellar Flare, Starlight!” He said, firing yet another magic beam at Starlight Glimmer.
Unfortunately, Starlight Glimmer teleported herself out the way before her father’s incoming magic blast could touch her yet again. Eventually, she appeared behind her father, catching him off guard.
“Nice try! Now it’s your turn!” Starlight Glimmer fired a magic beam at her father, making him shrink until he was a normal-sized pony once more.
Firelight and Stellar Flare, both no longer giants, have their plans ruined thanks to their children, tried attack Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, but they soon heard the police sirens, meaning that the police officers are coming.
The police officers got out of their cars and pulled their guns out, knowing they must make an arrest today.
“Stop! You two are under arrest for destroying Los Angeles, and also for hurting the citizens and these two ponies who have been trying to save them.” Male police officer #1 said, suggesting Firelight and Stellar Flare surrender and put their hooves in the air, where he can see them.
Two other police officers in the Los Angeles Police (LAPD) appear with handcuffs just for Firelight and Stellar Flare.
“No, wait, we can just talk about this…” Firelight laughed nervously, preferring a talk with the police officers about the destruction he and Stellar Flare have caused, but the officers weren’t in the mood to talk about it.
“Let me go!” Stellar Flare yelled as the police officer placed her hooves in handcuffs for the crimes she has caused. “I demand you to release me this instant!”
“Leave her alone!” Firelight shouted, only for police officer behind him to shut him up and place the handcuffs on his hooves, too.
The police officers placed Stellar Flare and Firelight in two separate police officer cars. The two unicorns glared at their children with anger and hatred still, although Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer didn’t care.
“And also we would wanna thank you both for help saving the city and the people.” said Police officer #2, appreciating Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst for help saving Los Angeles and defeat Firelight and Stellar Flare. “You two are truly heroes!”
“No problem.” Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst said, feeling honored.
The police officers understood Starlight’s words before driving off with Firelight and Stellar Flare in the cars.
The eleven humans offered thanks towards Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, knowing how strong they have been stopping Firelight and Stellar Flare before they could even arrive and help out.
“My, you and Sunburst are truly heroes!” Victor said, knowing he sees a good heart inside both Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst.
“You sure have help defend the city and stop those two evil unicorns from destroying everything in Los Angeles.” Michelle jumped with excitement, clapping her hands.
“No problem.” Starlight Glimmer told Michelle, looking confident that she and Sunburst could get the job done alone. “It was a shrinking spell I came up with that would stop my father and Sunburst’s mother from erasing everything in this city.
Sunburst nods his head before saying, “It was basically a plan me and Starlight have came up with that led to success.”
“I could have used a shrinking spell with my ray gun, you know?” John told Sunburst, pulling out his ray gun, which is what he has planned on using against the evil giant unicorns. “But since Starlight was right, I guess I didn’t need my ray gun after all.” He chuckled.
Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst wave goodbye towards the eleven humans who stood behind them, and they both walked alone through the streets and heard the cheers coming from the other citizens on both sides for saving Los Angeles.
With the nightmare in Los Angeles officially over, Sunburst and Starlight Glimmer decided they should catch a train that will take them to San Francisco, and discover something at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
