Personally, I’d answer “yes, just for showing off”… XDDDD  
It actually makes more sense in context if we assume that she had been hiding in EQ2 (and apparently spent there quite a while, seeing as she had won the school crown a couple times already and overall seems to be more used to that world) and infiltrated the castle from there, catching the guards off guard[/incrediblylamepun] Plus, if it’s confirmed she was Celestia’s pupil once (taking it with a grain of salt for now, since we all know how much toyset descriptions may be worth), then she’s hardly an ordinary pony to begin with…
 
What I’m wondering is the origin and location of the mirror itself. If it was somewhere in Canterlot, why bring it to Crystal Empire? If it was in Crystal Empire all along, when did Sunset enter it? Wouldn’t such a portal have been inaccessible for, like, 1000 years?

I can understand transdimensional godlike personofication of Chaos stealing elements of Harmony from castle, but a crown, directly before coronation, by ordinary (maybe) pony? Is those guards are really there just for showing off?!

I would argue that pre-teens (namely, the 10-12 demographic) are far more into the “highschool drama” thing than teens, and that’s who brands like Monster High are marketed towards.

I highly doubt there’ll be any typical highschool drama in this… It’ll just be lessons in social growth like the rest of the show, that anyone can relate to.

Can we give it a chance? Sure.
 
Will we necessarily like it? Fuck no.

Yeah but that’s not the point.  
I assume EG is targeted towards a slightely older demographic than your standard 6 year old girl AND might suffer from it.  
Preteens won’t understand highschool drama.  
Teens already have their nonster high or whatever.  
And bronies are likely to not show up.

And all we have so far is a traier.
 
However personally i think its going to end up a failure even if it’s good.  
Why?  
Because cinema.  
Seriously how many bronies would have the guts to go and watch it at a theater?  
The DVD sales might still be good and the whole thing is probably only to sell bratz knockoff toys…

I have to admit,Human Twilight screaming is one of the best reaction images I’ve seen for a while.

To be honest, I find the top image more offensive than the bottom one.
 
Jury’s still out on whether I’m going to see this movie at all. Probably not worth the 45min drive to the nearest theater playing it.

They walked through the mirror, they knew what they were getting into!  

I think the movie will be ok, but this is still funny.
