Description
Butterflies of every colour known
On a spring day
Right to me have flown
Brought me to my great delight
Flowers pollen lovely and white
And a greeting shining bright
From a sunny ray of light
Butterflies why won’t you come
Rest upon my open palm
Don’t be scared
I’ll do you no harm
Butterflies why won’t you come
Rest upon my open palm
Don’t be scared
I’ll do you no harm
Fluttering around the nearest tree
They all came right back to me
Feeling rested, they all felt as new
After drinking a little bit of dew
And when they felt
They were through
They just flapped their wings
And flew
Butterflies why won’t you come
Rest upon my open palm
Don’t be scared
I’ll do you no harm
Butterflies why won’t you come
Rest upon my open palm
Don’t be scared
I’ll do you no harm
