Description
Gary was the last prince of Griffinstone, who was the opposite of what griffins were known for. While all the griffins, for the time, were selfish and greedy, Gary was kind and generous. In fact, when the idol was lost, his father lost all hope, and did little to protect him, allowing him to leave the palace unsupervised. While out, he was finally able to noticed all the negativity and selfishness the population had. He couldn’t even get decent food.
Gary made his way to Armytica, where he met one of the grand alicorns, Dusk Glimmer, who taught him about the spirit realms, and how evil spirits can manipulate creatures into doing things that they don’t normally do. Additionally, he taught him about Qi, which eventually caused Gary develop exercises that could calm one spirituality and mentally.
He returned to Griffinstone, and manage to develop many griffins from mean to nice, giving him the nickname, Gary the Liber. However many, including his father, felt disgraced that he was disrespecting traditions, and accused him of treason. As a result, he and his followers were banished from the kingdom forever, up until its fall.
Fortunately, Gary’s life only got better from there. He became one of the few creatures to learn Starswirl’s spell of immortality, became one of the many sages of wonders, eventually built a temple on the top of mount Everhigh. Some say he waits on top for the right descendent of his, and hopes to train them to become the next leader of Griffinstone in his image.
