Seriously? THAT was the reason? I remember hearing about that story from a meme channel and then hearing about New York’s weather weeks later, but damn THAT escalated!
If many remember the busy 2016 Alberta fire season when if smoke was carried by the intercontinental jet stream prompting air advisories in Greenland and the EU. With many blame Halifax wildfires for air advisories for a large swath of new York state including new York city.
Nah. Although there is a joke going around (I’m pretty sure it’s a joke anyway) that it was because a bunch of female firefighters in Nova Scotia tried to one-up the male ones at their job and ended up making a large enough fire that even New Jersey was engulfed in the Blade Runner 2049 filter.
