my ideal gen5 designs for the main 6 plus celestia + luna! ill talk a little bit about them here

celestia: i wanted an old greek influence on her. if she were to wear robes or something it would be like a toga esentially. shes regal and defined and all around Older and Better
luna: more roman influence. younger, spunkier, but also very goth obviously. nightmare in the moon is still a thing
applejack: i didn’t change her much. but i think shed be better with a like appalacia country as opposed to like, texas country. i wanted to draw big braids really bad. more banjo country than cowboy country. also shes trans
pinkie pie: 80’s explosion, her body is all glittery. pretty much the same as regular pinkie pie just maybe lower the volume on her voice a little. she can also be quiet and a very good listener
rarity: not much change. i love rarity. shes still the artist of the group but i think shed be better as a painter/drawer etc. she still loves glitter and jewels obviously. adds glitter in all her paintings
twilight: bookish, as usual. but eagerly wants to make friends just doesnt have any before the mane 6. glasses. ive deleted spike because i hate him
fluttershy: a flutter pony! shes still really shy but id love to have a scene where they meet other flutter ponies and they’re even MORE meek and shy than her. like to other flutter ponies shes basically the most exuberant extrovert around.
rainbowdash: she still goes fast, but shes wayyyy less annoying now. shes spunkier in a down-to-earth coolguy way, not a try-hard way. she just wants to chill out with everybody most of the time. she still works for the wonderbolts and thats where she gets her constructive fast outlet.pretty much the rest of the time shes chill
