Description

I guess joining NATG has got to be one of the hardest but life-changing decisions I’ve ever made. I wouldn’t be drawing these ponies if I didn’t care about NATG in the first place, and this destiny would not be possible if it were not the decisions I made earlier.
Day 26 of NATG! We’re getting one step closer to the end of NATG! To make this event an unforgettable moment in my life, I decided to take this opportunity to look back at previous days of NATG. I still remember struggling with making a decision on whether I should participate in NATG on the very first day. Being a brony musician, I’ve always been very familiar with the environment of music production and sound design, which makes transitioning to visual arts quite a difficult thing to accomplish. It was extremely difficult for me to strike a balance between music and drawing, and between ponies and reality. But eventually, I started getting used to the routine of NATG and I could use the remaining time to possibly finish my music as I finished my drawings more efficiently. I also remember questioning myself if I’m even capable of drawing a simple pony. Yes, the first drawing looks quite awful, but as I developed the skills needed for drawing ponies, my artworks started improving and now I can experiment with different poses and shading. Overall, I ultimately decided to participate in this year’s NATG, and I’m confident that I made the right decision. Even if my destiny is not drawing ponies for the community, it’s still an invaluable opportunity for me to learn new skills, make new friends on EQD’s Discord server, appreciate different art styles, and strengthen the sense of belongings to the brony fandom. It’s definitely a wonderful experience and I’ll remember this moment for the rest of my life. With that being said, this drawing took me around 3 hours to finish and I hope you enjoy this piece of artwork!
