I Chalk that up to hearing from Discord what they already heard from Twilight, though told from his point of view due to his love for Fluttershy and his friends.
I don’t know about you. But what Sunny told us in Make Your Mark Chapter 2, episode 7 is very similar to what Discord told us in My Little Pony issue #2.
Meh. Many other comics have inconsistencies. Specially DC and Marvel’s. Talk about a multiverse of inconsistencies. Even then they are still canon for the most part.

With the amount of inconsistencies, it’s difficult for it to be canon.
