I think it’s still ambiguous as to how lonely Izzy was. Even if she didn’t have any real friends, she’s only ever spoken highly of Bridlewood and that she misses it
The tears don’t appear until after she eats the cookie. So yes.
Too bad she made them out of wooden utensils.
Izzy write herself a happy birthday card, so yeah, she’s orphan (´･ω･|
Considering how lonely Izzy is, having a family might have more tragic implications.

I really love the little hints the show is giving us. I like thinking Alpha was the closest thing to a father to Izzy. Seeing the little scene in winter wishday between Izzy and him, Izzy maybe did the charades game with him just to make him happy (he is competitive and loves to win), and Alpha was really happy just hearing her voice.
