“What happened to the Queen? She’s never looked this menacing before!
This is my attempt at drawing the ‘Chaos Novo’ design that dropped on the MLP Gameloft mobile game earlier in the year. It was quite a shock and big surprise to finally see Novo get some love in something official, since any movie character outside of Tempest gets the shaft. I think I may be the first one to ever draw her in this design, so that’s kinda cool.
As for how she got into this state, I don’t know how it was explained in-game. I personally theorize that she was possessed by the Storm King’s essence through the Staff of Sacanas, turning her from the stern, sassy but kind-hearted Queen into a savage, violent beast bent on destruction. Hopefully she will be able to regain control over herself soon.”
