It was a spooky and scary night. The stars shone above the little semi-rural town, contrasting in a beautiful way with the dark indigo background that was the sky. The moon, which seemed like a light beacon in the middle of the starry ceiling, casted upon Ponyville her beautiful light, managing to illuminate in a perfect way the whole event that was developed under the few grayish clouds.

On the ground, far away from the pretty space that conformed the sight, there were a very packed group of ponies going to and fro, it would’ve looked like a normal day in the village, but there was one little thing that deceived this thought, and it was that every pony seemed to be dressed in some particular way. Aside from the fact that clothing in itself was something out of the ordinary for those often-naked ponies, the many costumes they wore were an indication of a celebration in Equestria; Nightmare Night.

Officially it was the day when Nightmare Moon, the evil version of Princess Luna, was banished to the moon 1000 years ago. Instead of turning into dust like pretty much any living creature in one thousand years, she enacted her revenge the exact same day after a millennia has passed, but it failed catastrophically when the Elements of Harmony were used against her by a group of ponies called the “Mane Six” and then she was turned back into the socially awkward alicorn princess everybody loved. So, instead of being a celebration of the day the royal sister being figuratively incarcerated in the moon, it was more a celebration when the Princess of the Night finally abandoned her Nightmare Moon self, and as such, they made it like a party of sorts where ponies got frightened and wore costumes and all that sorta weird thing ponies do because pony culture.

In any case, despite the oddness of the situation, they quickly got comfortable with the idea of dressing with random costumes, either scary or cute ones, and just go around doing fun activities. Some of them even knocking on doors to receive candies and other sweet food to consume and devour like if they were a bank of piranhas after seeing a prey. This is the context where this particular incident evolved on, as a white plane pony with mostly red markings and blue uniform hovered alongside a unfamiliar wolf pony with mint or teal colored bat wings, cute little artificial fangs, some blue magical contact lenses that made his eyes look like the ones of a vampire (With slit pupils) and with his paw claws extended, he was dressed as a random vampony he heard from some ancient tales, known to feast upon poor innocent fruits; although little did he knew the ironic fact that Fluttershy became a vampony herself once. His companion had a blue hat with a red star, a blue general uniform with lots of medals and markings, and as an added detail, he had the radioactivity warning sign, or more commonly known as “Nuclear symbol”, as roundels on his wings. He was dressed as the General Tsing Shi Tao from one of his favorite games, being appropriately known as the “Nuke General”.
They kept the pace light, looking around at the fillies and colts that had fun being the monster for one day and spooking around everyone, some of them managing to make an improvised dance chorography because their skeleton costumes seemed to remind ponies of a popular spooky scary song. It was all happiness and cheerfulness around the town.

Except for the wolf pony, currently accompanying the general pone alongside him; he had a grumpy face fitting for grumpy cat, and seemed more bored than actually happy. If this humble storyteller could make a guess, it seemed that this poor wolf pony was begged till capitulation to participate in the event. “Why do we have to do this again?…” He said, annoyed, looking at the fillies that cutely played around and the colts that followed them in laughter. Were they playing Hide n’ Seek - Spooky Version?

“To make ponies happy? And to celebrate?” Bashful replied in a confused expression as he kept flying slowly to the center of town, where they’ll encounter Fluttershy and Twilight, and hand out candy and stuff. It was mostly Fluttershy’s idea to do that and coax Flow. The latter one just shrugged and looked aside in an uninterested expression “I guess… I just don’t see the point of this… we hand out candies and stuff to celebrate a villain? Also, I was peacefully sleeping in my Everfree house before you and Fluttershy pretty much obliged me out” He retorted, looking to his back and verifying the saddlebag full of candies he was going to give.

“Why you’re so irritated?” The plane pony replied to him, raising an eyebrow. He really didn’t expect his wolf friend to be bored about this whole ordeal, and that was promptly lampshaded by the latter, who said in a sarcastic tone “You don’t know me in that case. I mean, I’m fine with making fillies happy… I guess… It’s just that the idea of standing on Twilight’s Castle and being visible for everybody and giving everybody candies and stuff is… boring… How do you not find it boring anyways?” The fluffy wolf pony retorted, then proceeding to haste as he spotted in the distance the unmistakable figure of a shy yellow Pegasus dressed with some kind of paw shoes and fake fangs being afraid of Nightmare Night as always. Accompanying her was Twilight Sparkle, dressed as, who else, Princess Celestia herself, who seemed to not realize her friend was scared, although to be fair, Flutters here was being quite subtle.

“Oh, it’s not like we’re staying in the same place for the entire night. We’ll go, have fun, knock some doors, you’ll get spooked and doot dooted, and that kind of thing… Also, you refused to lead the colts like Pinkie did the other time.” The plone replied as he also hurried his pace, or well, his floating. Flow just looked back at him like if he made a weird suggestion and said “Like if that disorganized agglomeration of a dozen hectic fillies and colts high in sugar would listen to me.” Thankfully, Twilight and Fluttershy finally spotted the dynamic duo and proceeded to wave at them, getting closer themselves.

“Hi Flow! I thought you wouldn’t come!” Said Twilight with a certain tone of incredulity that seemed to fit well with her sentence, shortly afterwards approaching Flow and giving him a gentle hoof shake. “I’m glad you came though… But I’m not sure if you would like being around giving candy to ponies” The lavender alicorn asked, looking at him as one of her eyebrows rose in disbelief. Flow just shrugged “It wasn’t my idea to spend this night, but two ponies begged me to do this, so…”. This comment seemed to make a bit of a laughter for the lavender pony, as she said “Well, we’ll make it fun for you too, don’t worry~” with that teasing tone that seemed something was coming. Fluttershy meanwhile just got close to Flow and hugged him in a very affectionate gesture, thanking him in the ear; “Thank you my cute wolf”. This comment made the alluded wolf blush deeply, as he tried to act like nothing has happened “Uh, yeah, y-you’re welcome I guess… let’s go…”

As Twilight foreshadowed, the event for the wolf pony was quite fun indeed. He wasn’t going to stand out in the middle of the street giving candy to people but actually Twilight thought about this and made that task ‘more entertaining’ by going around themselves to do the activities that others did, along with some more things and games especially made for the day of the year. It all went smoothly, with the wolf pony seemingly happy of being there, or atleast, much better than his original “Bored and irritated” stance. At a certain point a little unicorn filly with black coat, white mane and glasses approached the unusual wolf pony and he gave her a XL chocolate, to which the unicorn filly gasped and said something along the lines of “Oh my Celestia… You give the best candies!” then proceeding to hug Flow’s paw for a couple seconds, thanking him repeatedly, and afterwards leaving to eat her XL chocolate candy bar.

When the event was about to finish (Or more like, their own event, since Nightmare Night would last a couple hours more) and the candies were ransacked by the hungry fillies that wanted desperately a sweet snack, they knew that their job was done, so they had the free time to go around and do their stuff. Flow smiled, having enjoyed giving candy to colts and fillies alike and seeing their cute happy expressions, but he was happier by the fact he really didn’t need to carry some heavy candy-filled saddlebags anymore.

He looked around, spotting no filly nearby, and then looked inside his saddlebag, opening a secret compartment where he hid some chocolates and candies for sharing between his friends. He felt like such a sweet smuggler as he suddenly popped those edibles into existence and looked to Fluttershy, starting to blush lightly. “Um… happy Nightmare Night I guess…” He said, giving a couple chocolates and candies to her, looking aside in a quite bashful way. Fluttershy giggled at his friendly gesture and happily accepted the candies, proceeding to smile at him all the while she said “Thank you, happy Nightmare Night to you too Flow”, and, as a coup de grace, she gave him a little tight hug and nuzzled his cheek. The wolf blushed more in embarrassment as she let away of the hug and proceeded to ruffle his hair fur. He tried to stop being flustered himself and focused on the plane pony, who was seemingly distracted as always. “Hey, Inter, take this” He said, getting some dozen chocolates and bringing it to the plone, but the latter seemed hesitant “Uh, no, sorry… I appreciate the gesture, but I… uh… don’t want to get sugar high…” He said, looking around. Flow raised an eyebrow, insisting in giving him the chocolate “Oh come on, I bet you’ll love them; they’re white chocolate!”. This seemed to catch the attention of the plone in an instant, as he turned around and looked back at the gigantic candy bar “Oh really? Well… I guess I could…” He said, and pretty much took it from Flow paws in such a quick way he was left confused, shortly afterwards giving him a thanks and proceeding to eat his souvenirs maybe a bit too eagerly

40 minutes later….

Flow walked through the town with a bit of wary on his motion. The fluff on his body seemed to spike slightly as he looked around with mistrustfulness. He wasn’t really expecting an attack per se, but, considering how there were times something spooky appeared to scare him while he was giving candies with Flutters, Twilight and Bashful, it was better to be prepared. His dark gray paw pads made almost no noise in the greenish grass under him as he seemed to go towards nowhere in particular, simply trying to find out what else he could do for tonight.

What he didn’t notice though, was that there was behind him a huge creature, easily double than his height that moved unseen and deadly like a cobra about to pounce on their prey. Everything seemed quiet for the wolf pony, and even the creature’s steps were noiseless, his hunting instincts leading him closer and closer towards the double-toned gray wolf pony. To the point he was less than five meters near him… And then, with a mischievous grin on his face and his heterochromic eyes fixed on the target, he striked, like a heavy fighter doing Boom and Zoom on a poor unsuspecting bomber…

Flow could barely see a blur coming his way when he was engulfed in whatever was that thing, his world shifting and spinning randomly as the creature made a roll on itself and managed to land sitting. He almost panicked, internally berating himself for not bringing his sword to this event, but then he realized something quite important… The creature, was someone he knew very well and not some kind of predator craving for canines…

Seconds turned into minutes as Flow stared at the huge (Relatively speaking, since he’s been bigger before) Bashful that had suddenly snared him from the cover of darkness and was currently squeezing him tightly against his chest, he had to admit that he was utterly surprised by the plone’s sneakiness. The usual military attire he was wearing for this night seemed rather disheveled, with the top part unbuttoned. Although shortly afterwards, the wolf pony smiled, looking at the big Bashy suddenly act that way. It was not normal for him, but he had some idea why he was acting in such a way; the trembling his body had and the excited eyes with dilated pupils, alongside with the puffing of his fluff, seemed to indicate he ate way too much chocolate from the wolf pony… This seems to have been the reason he didn’t want to eat said food.

Bashful, meanwhile, seemed to hug tighter the poor Flow without any care in the world, keeping him effectively coaxed against his luxurious and velvety chest fluff as he nuzzled his little (Comparatively speaking) head, his black, fluffy, and chocolate-scented paws gently yet firmly bringing him closer. Yep, he was drunk with sugar, and this hypothesis was aided by the fact that the plone was purring and smiling contently, keeping locked the wolf pony like if he were some kind of plushie for him to play with and snuggle with and have fun with and keep. At the same time, he said things like “Who’s my cutie wolf pony, yes you are, you areeeeeee. So adorableeeeeeeeee. And so fluffyyyyy, I’m gonna keep ya as a cute little plushie pet to play wiiiiiith”. It was incredible how such sugar crazy seemed to disable all his anxiety-riddled inhibitions and made him a pretty lovable and cute gigantic plone dressed as Tsing Shi Tao… to be honest, considering how stealthy he was approaching the wolf pony, he probably should’ve gone dressed as Prince Kassad.

As this particularly adorable and heartwarming moment occurred, with the not-anxious and sugar-high plone showing just how much affection the wolf pony deserved, Fluttershy watched the whole scene a few meters away, lightly doing her trademark soft giggle. Flow noticed he was being watched by the yellow Pegasus and suddenly turned into a full-blown tomato, or well, sorta; his cheeks burned as he blushed deeply, the tip of his ears falling defeated to the red blushing that came afterwards. He shifted his eyes between Flutters, and the childish plone, before proceeding to smile again, showing his batpony fangs as he just made himself easier to hug, Bashful not missing the opportunity and nuzzling, licking affectionately and pampering the wolf pony that was now of his property. This time, Flow was the embarrassed one although the plane pony had a fair share of crimson on his face, but the tables would’ve been turned when, at the next day, Flow told a mostly-normal plone with a sugar hangover how ‘happy’ he was~

This is a cute and adorable drawing I did with the OC of my cute lover. They were very helpful in the ideas and design for me to make this adorable and very cuddly drawing of my ponysona cuddling their own wolf pony OC Flow. And I can assure you guys that their wolf pony OC is extremely fluffy, extremely huggable, extremely cuddly and extremely cute and adorbs (I’ll be Rainbow Dash here and say that they aren’t synonyms XP). Also, I really didn’t mean to draw Flow paws, I’m not kinky. It’s just that I couldn’t find any pose for his hindpaws that would not make him look limp XP.

He’s smiling because he’s a cute wolf pony that likes very much my ponysona and as such he’s happy by being hugged like that. And he’s also exposed to Bashful’s velvety and luxurious floof, I’d call that a win :P. The costumes they’re both having is, for Flow, a cute batpony vampony with teal bat wings taped to the side of his body and fake vampire fangs (He took away his contact lenses before being tackled by a giant Bashful), oh, and with his claws extended like if he were a predator ready to hunt. As for Bashful, he’s dressed as Tsing Shi Tao, also known as Nuclear General, from C&C Generals fame. The “roundels” on his wings are based exactly on that fact, showcasing the radioactive warning sign just like his aircraft are marked cough cough Shockwave cough cough. The blue stripes he usually has are gone too, because Chinese aircraft in C&C Generals have mostly red stripes and design in general.

As for Fluttershy… well… I have to admit I drew her first and then completely forgot of giving her a disguise Gets a table tossed to him but I decided to give her some ‘paw shoes’ of sorts and a cute little fang. For a pony that usually doesn’t go out in Nightmare Night, I imagine she wouldn’t been the one to have some really spooky costume handy :P. And the fangs and pawboots are a reference to the wolfpony currently ensnared and unable to escape, even if he wanted to :D.

The background is based from screencaps of Luna Eclipsed, with some little decorations dangling from wires connected to wooden sticks, a little house on the right side, behind Bashful, some bushes and foliage. The moon (Obviously :p) and the Royal Princess of the Night being hauled by two batponies towards her destination… who knows which it is :P. Oh, and the “Jester hat” thingy on the left side of the drawing is based on the design of one of the houses in the episode. Say whatever you want about ponies, when they celebrate their version of Halloween, they’re perfectly capable of modifying their houses for it XP.

Also, the signature is kinda wrong, the “27-10-2022” on my date was like a tentative day for me to finish it, I was so wrong >.<’. Also, this it’s kinda rushed, both the story and the drawing, but I hope you guys like it, especially my cute lover~
