Had this comic idea for a while now, but as it turns out, it’s hard to make a joke about something that happens in the future using a character from the past

My problem with G4 is they never showed what earth pony magic can do. Well they do by farming but it’s only implied.
There could have been an episode where Applejack has to use her powers to grow assist in growing some plant.
They did:
Earth ponies are also many times shown to be almost excessively strong, breaking through doors and walls with ease.
But you’re kinda right, earh pony magic did get neglected.

I wish something cool that earth ponies could have done.
That being said I think G5’s earth pony magic might be an overcorrection.

Well, you kinda did always have Earth Pony Magic since you can grow food anywhere and talk to animals (Fluttershy being the exception of being able to talk to all of them).
So you do have Earth Pony Magic, just not the Flora Magic the G5 Earth ponies got, where it generates trees, veggies, and fruits instantly.
But don’t worry; G5 Unicorns can only float things with their magic and don’t do spells, and the Pegasi don’t control the weather.
