I don’t know how many times I have to say this but here goes.

MLP G5 is piggybacking off of G4. Normally I wouldn’t have a problem with this if they kept to the source material but instead they decided to throw it out. The characters were established and the plot was secure. All they had to do was follow it and come up with a good reason for the magic disappearing from Equestria.

So they decide a unicorn comes out of no where and starts telling ponies that unicorns are better than others and that ruins ALL OF FRIENDSHIP AND MAGIC?!

C’mon now. They faced bigger and badder foes than that and won. They even faced unicorns and other pony races saying that they were better and pushed them back. So why is this different? … No explanation. (I know they could still explain but waiting this long has already soured a lot of fans.)
To top it all off, Twilight the Princess of Friendship and her friends who basically wrote a book detailing friendship can’t figure it all out? Then Twilight removes magic from Equestria, thus causing a deeper rift between races?

That isn’t Twilight. It’s shitty writing and I won’t act like it isn’t. Give me a legit reason why I should accept that G5 is better than G4, OR that it’s worth watching at all. I watched the movie, it sucked. I watched the cartoons, they sucked. Sorry I don’t like ALL of MLP, I’m so terrible.

If liking G4 and not liking other generations makes me a purist then I guess I am a purist. I liked G1 and G2, G3 was an abomination and I wasn’t a fan of the G4.5 Pony Life show.

I’m entitled to my opinion and you all are entitled to yours. Don’t come at me sighing and calling me or others out for not liking the new show.
