In This context, it’s sort of calling out someone who already called another oc shit. What goes around comes around. Regardless, that’s not very relevant. Don’t be a dickhead, it’s that simple.
Ok dude, end of story, you don’t have to go out of your way to tell people their oc sucks, regardless of how true it is. That’s on par with claiming you have to go out of your way to tell someone irl that they’re ugly. or that their clothes are hideous. You don’t have to do it. You don’t have an obligation to do it. Leave it to their friends, or people they know. A total stranger on the internet does not have the right to tell someone that their oc is bad. You are an asshole if you do, and an even bigger asshole if you believe you “have to”. Stop fighting this already, you’re only making a joke out of yourself.

Yes but you don’t have to go out of your way to tell someone, as I’ve repeatedly said to Seiken. You have the option to stay silent. My issue and what I’ve repeatedly told him is such, is that he says you HAVE to tell them their OC is bad.

Because i consider it more unkind to leave people under false assumptions than to tell them the truth even if it smarts. And your issue is that you cannot accept another person’s viewpoint.
And yet there is no reason to comment at all, so why go out of your way to tell them a truth that hurts, when you can simply move on and say nothing?

You’re taking that out of the context of the paragraph. I mean Feedback is just feedback in the sense that it’s not constructive or destructive, unless it is constructive or destructive feedback like the examples I gave.
No, noone has to. It’s honestly sad you think that people HAVE to go out of their way to tell other people that their creations are shit. You say “no one has to care about the emotional investment if another person”, well then why does anyone have to care whether or not an OC is good or bad? Your argument is invalid.
Yes someone has to. No one has to care about the emotional investment of another person. And on the topic of constructive criticism, saying “shit oc” is on the same level as “fantastic oc”. Both have the same level of little to no constructive value and yet people always throw a tantrum about not being constructive when its negative.

Giving criticism is one thing, outright saying “Shit OC” is another. I say the same thing on comments on stories. There’s constructive criticism, and then there’s destructive criticism. Difference between saying “a bit of advice to help you improve upon this is to try doing this instead of that” and saying “omfg you’re so bad”.
