To most ponies, a Trimaw was more or less the same thing as a Threshold worm. Big, aggressive and seemingly perpetually hungry, they shared many of the same traits as their quad-mandibled cousins, though they differed in many ways, especially regarding their hunting behaviour, which was much more elaborate and articulate than some of their more blunt ilk. The intricacies of the various species of voracious vermiforms something worthy of study, even if at the end of the day their digestive systems were basically the same for the engulfed equine stewing in their stomach…
