Thanks man. It is mostly for some larger setting where an Orwellian supergovernment is opposed by a secret organization of humans with psychic powers, who command legions of magical creatures. Having ponies be one of those magical creature types lends it to crossovers pretty nicely.
Though obviously since this is a Canterlot Wedding anniversary image I chose not to focus on my usual human protagonists and instead focus on how things are going for their four-hooved buddies over in Equestria.
But yeah, the premise was β€œwhat if the changelings never got β€˜reformed’ officially but instead actively chose to side with the ponies because their entire kingdom was under threat?” mostly because I like the old β€˜evil’ changeling colors a lot more. And also wanted to see Queen Chrysalis reformed, but obviously didn’t get that with the atrocious direction the final episode went.
