@Badumsquish
Ah…point taken. Still, we all have our theories here, and I’m sticking with my “Daybreaker caused the Ashlands Timeline” theory, you can stick with yours.
@Clever Clovers
Yeah, honestly I figure Celestia would go Daybreaker before she’d let the world be outright destroyed, like there must be some level where the risk of Daybreaker was lower than the risk of apocalypse. The big thing that makes me think this world isn’t caused by Daybreaker is that there’s no sun: I figure a world destroyed or ruled by Daybreaker would be a flaming, sun-bleached desert like the Glass Desert from Slime Rancher:
@Wayneponeth @Moonatik
He has to do a thorough job or else… HE CAN’T WEAR THE FRENCH MAID UNIFORM!!! >:D
@Moonatik @Background Pony #0CAF
I like to think she would keep the term “day” to refer to waking hours, as one final “screw you” to Celestia: “My beautiful night is a better day than Celestia could ever make” kind of affair. Besides, that way everypony could keep their same calendars :P
@Wayneponeth
Nah bro all her peons are given specific schedules each night with all sorts of tasks to be completed before. Nobody does 100% cuddling or 100% cleaning, peons need to be flexible. Her Highness likes to cuddle someone different each night depending on how she’s feeling.
Also in reference to your previous comment
He cuddles Nightmare Moon for the rest of the day.
@Moonatik
That’s other servants’ job. Star Tracker would probably need to dust like a few spots before NMM is like “I need my cuddles!” and he immediately has to rush to her. :P
@Badumsquish
Wow…damn, that actually is pretty heavy.
To be fair, though, if one pony could survive the world being turned to ash like that, it’d probably be someone immortal like Celestia…or, in this case, Daybreaker. I mean, it’s already scorched beyond belief, and if there’s no visble sun, that makes the whole Daybreaker thing a bit more plausible…
@Clever Clovers
It was definitely the one that seemed totally livable, and even kind of cool. It was pretty gutsy of them to show how life under her really wasn’t THAT bad, and that she had loyal subjects, and that there probably even were those who preferred her rule to Celestia. It makes me wonder if it was kind of a nod to the whole New Lunar Republic thing, minus Celestia being a tyrant of course XD
@Dirty Bit
I really liked how they were all different. How Nightmare Moon’s was just different being arguably worse but not terrible, Sombra was the waning days of a war that Equestria was slowly losing, Chrysalis was post-war with a steadily losing resistance movement, Tirek and Discord were “the ponies have fallen and the villain won” affairs, Flim and Flam were a Onceler thing like you said, and the final one was just an extinction event with likely no one left alive :D
@Clever Clovers
I always assumed that was the timeline that Starlight won and ended up equalizing the world. There’s no visible sun, no plant life, an unrelenting wind, and no clear evidence of a big world-ending event like there’s no visible destruction, scattered weapons and armor, blast marks on the ground, or leftovers of a war or villain. It really seems like the kind of world you’d get where earth ponies no longer had their plant-growing talents, or pegasi no longer had their weather-tending talents, and unicorns / alicorns no longer had the talent to move the sun and moon. It’s just a cold, empty, dry, silent world where all the plants have died, the sky hangs in perpetual twilight, the weather is an unchanging endless wind that brings no water and has whittled the landscape and buried the structures in sand, and most if not all its inhabitants have died of thirst and starvation. Heavy stuff, when you think about it :P
Out of all the alternate timelines from The Cutie Re-Mark, the Nightmare Takeover timeline is definitely my favorite due to Nightmare Moon being my top favorite (unreformed) villain of the series.
Glad to see you making something for it, and with Star Tracker, no less!

Nooooo that’s bad, for me, ‘cause I won’t be able to see Star Tracker in cute outfit! D’:

It’s a pretty big castle with a lot of visitors and functionaries running around, that takes a lot of ponies and a lot of time to clean.
Dusting probably takes about only a few minutes. He cuddles Nightmare Moon for the rest of the day.

He looks good dressed as a mare. Even though he’s DEFINITELY not crossdressing XD
You think he has the guts to correct her when she refers to him as an “adorable little crossdressing handmaid?” :P
He’s just still a little nervous. It’s a little hard to blame him for it XD
So is Midnight Dew jealous, or just like “Pffft he’ll never be as fluffy as me?” :P
Also he has to do some dusting, but that’s after :P
@Mellow Rhythm
It goes with the uniform XD

Personally, I have a feeling that last one was the result of a bit more power than an atomic bomb alone.
Because he’s a precious cinnamon bun!
