But its funny. He tells the experiences of a middle aged man watching a movie for very young children. People used to understand how funny that situation is. People don’t watch Cory’s reviews for the confirmation bias getting stroked. They watch it for his funny reactions. Its even funnier if he has no context to what he’s getting into and its up to his crew to fill him in.
@Cosmas-the-Explorer
because he’s a comedian and when he elaborates that he had a really bad time in the movies when all the little girls suddenly started yelling and went to the front to dance while his ears were ringing from pinkie pie & co screaming all the time … that’s hilarious to hear him describe the scene!

How could someone like that get popularity?! What kind of stupid metric is that? Completely based on a subjective experience ouside of the movie itself.
@hironakamura
So, in laymen’s terns, you’re effectively saying he let the movie theatre quality influence his opinion on the G4 movie instead of the actual movie?
lol the presumptous downvotes. before you whip out your pitchforks, drink a tall cool glass of water and watch the whole darn video at the source link.
To all prev. commenters, don’t worry. This is not directed at you.
@Joshua
The G4 movie seemed more like pre-christmas cash grab upon it’s theatrical release. I mean when you release a kids movie about magical talking ponies in the month of October which is more or less the month of horror movies you can’t expect a movie like that to do well in the box office. Now had it been released in February or March? It probably wouldn’t have gotten such a luke-warm reception.
Saw this review months ago. They did like it. Also saw their review of the g4 movie. Main reason Cory didn’t like that one was because he rates movies based on movie experience. He saw it in theaters with his wife. He said he was surrounded by screaming kids when he saw that movie. The g5 movie was streamed so he saw it at home.

He does that with all of the movies they review.

Fundamentalist
The video itself is quite funny though.

I bet their reasons for hating that one is well thought out and—pffffft ahahahahahahaha! Sorry, I couldn’t fake it.
To be fair, this movie can please just about anyone. Only reason it surprised me first time I saw it was they hated the 2017 g4 movie.
