Solar angrily trotted into Lunar’s room. “Why are you ignoring Aurora?!” She yelled. Lunar was reading a book. She looked up from the page and said, “Good to see you too Solar.” She stood up and used her magic to put the book away on a shelf. “She thinks you don’t like her Lunar.” Solar continued, still peeved. Lunar rolled her eyes, “I don’t have time to play with her every five minutes. I have to manage Midnight’s magic on top of expecting two more foals with chaos magic. It is time consuming and exhausting and maybe she doesn’t understand that.” Solar was now both excited and angry. Excited that she would have two more nieces or nephews, or a niece and a nephew. She pushed that thought aside. “Still, she may not understand that but your her only other sister here. I can’t travel all the way from the Crystal Empire all the time. Midnight is always with you and her friends all live in Ponyville. She is a small filly alone in a giant castle, she is gonna get bored. Maybe you could spend a little time with her?” Solar reasoned. Lunar sighed, “Not my problem she can’t make other friends or find something to do. Why doesn’t she ask Sombra or Speed Wing for something to do.” Solar stared, now very angry. “You mean Sombra and DAD.” She corrected. Lunar growled. “That poor excuse for a father I couldn’t care less about.” Solar was shocked. She knew Lunar didn’t like their dad, but she didn’t know she didn’t like him that much. “You don’t mean that.” Solar said questioningly. Lunar turned to her and said. “After what he has done, why wouldn’t I?” Solar was completely horrified. “You cannot hate your own father Lunar!”
Lunar got right in front of Solar’s face. “He walked out on us after our mother died, after the supposed love of his life died, he didn’t say he loved us, he didn’t say goodbye, he just walked out.”
“He was grieving and he came back.” Solar defended.
“AFTER 18 YEARS SOLAR, HE DECIDED HE WANTED US! HE TRIED TO FORCE ME AWAY FROM MARKCELINE, TRIED TO GET ME TO MARRY STELLAR STORM, TRIED TO FORCE YOU TO COME BACK TO CANTERLOT, AND ON TOP OF THAT HE WAS A GOOD FOR NOTHING TRAITOR TO OUR MOTHER!” Lunar was livid, she glared with hatred and disgust. But also with pain.
“Lunar, he moved on from our mother, and he loves Sombra.”
“He wasn’t there for us, but he is there for Aurora! He abandoned us, and kept Aurora! He married our mother’s little sister! And had that spawn of everything we should have had growing up, but he DIDN’T EVEN CARE!” Lunar was screaming now. Now Solar knew the real reason Lunar wanted nothing to do with Aurora. Solar closed and opened her eyes. “And I have forgiven him for all of that, have you?” Lunar wiped her eyes. “No.” Solar hugged Lunar and walked out her room.
So a bit of sisterly war there. Maybe eventually Lunar will step up for Aurora?
