Description
Whoa boy! Now that is a REALLY scary Storm Creature! These monstrous beasts were to be used as tanks for the Storm King’s army. And if it wasn’t for their great size and strength, those tusks could really have done some serious damage. It such a shame these guys were never included into the final movie, but I can see why. With masks like those the film would’ve been as frightening as Disney’s The Black Cauldron.
I made this months ago after Angela An shared with us her concept art from the My Little Pony movie. While it’s not the first time we were introduced to these deleted characters (they appeared in a concept art of the Storm King and his forces conquering the Arimaspi Kingdom made by Angela featured in the movie’s art book), one of the concept art provided a scale model of the Storm King and his forces, with these guys being the biggest and there were no obstructions blocking off some parts of their bodies, not to mention the model sheet was big enough to figure out all the little details.
This was done in the style of the show, not the movie. And although I said I wasn’t going post any random vectors unrelated to Nightmare Night, I decided to post this since he’s pretty scary looking. I will see if I can feature him in more Storm King related artwork.

I don’t know why those Storm Creatures with tusks didn’t appeared in the film. The Storm King’s quadrupedal Storm Creature Tanks didn’t appeared in the film because he should have been like Scar, Shenzi, Zira, from the Lion King franchise because Scar has an army of hyenas, skinks, jackals, crocodiles, and evil lions that were led by Zira, the Quintessons from the Transformers G1, Aligned, and Cyberverse Continuities because they had an army of Sharkticons as well as Allicons that were quadrupedal creatures in G1, Scorponok and Alpha Q from Transformers Energon because Scorponok had an army of quadrupedal Terrocons which are Battle Ravages and Cruellocks, while Alpha Q had Command Ravages, Lockdown from Transformers 4: Age of Extinction because he had Steeljaws, Unicron from the Transformers Aligned Continuity because he created Terrorcon-Predacon hybrids while possessing Megatron, Thanos, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe because he had the Chitauri Gorillas and the Outriders, The deer Hunter from Bambi because he had some hunter dogs, Grimmel the Grisly from How To Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World because he had Deathgrippers, the Wolf Pack from “Storks”, the Fossas from “Madagascar”, Pitch Black from “Rise of the Guardians” because he had shadowy horse creatures called Nightmares, Rabia from the MLP comics because she had the Umbrums, and the Big Bad of the tv series and possibly the G4 franchise Queen Chrysalis because she had an army of changelings. So I believe that these could possibly be canon because I believe that these tusked Storm Creatures were present attacking/conquering/slaughter Equestria with the Storm King offscreen since Klavis who is one of the Storm King’s Storm Creature Generals appeared in the MLP Gameloft app.
