Modern media griffons tend to be more omnivourous, not showing predatory insticts to the fullest, especially in medias designed for children to be able to watch safely.

It will be scary for children if the show shows how carnivours the griffons are, especially the show is centered towards herbivourous equine those are mythologically natural preys of griffons.
