You ask the shopkeeper about the effect of purify powder on a cursed item.
 
Shopkeeper: “Cursed? I’ve gotta say, I don’t know much about curses, but it might be worth a try.
 
This powder is more commonly used for removing impurities from all sorts of things, such as refining metals, or removing stains. If a curse is anything like a tough stain, then there’s a chance it could work!”
 
You thank the shopkeeper, then continue to browse the vending halls for a short while. Not having any spellcasters in your party, however, nothing in particular catches your attention.
 
Moonflower: “I got all these bits, but I dunno what to spend ‘em on. Lots’a these things are super tempting, though.”
 
You suggest coming back once you have a better idea of what you want, and decide to go look for Apple Basket in the meantime.
 
Moonflower: “Ooh, good plan. I still gotta try this new ring I bought. Heehee!”
 
As you arrive at the docks, you find the colt hauling a small barrel into the cabin of a moored sailboat. He notices you on the way out, and trots up the wooden piers and over to you.
 
Apple Basket: “Oh, are y’all done already? Well, I s’pose I should get right to it, then.
 
Y’see, after you gals fished me out of the woods last night, it got me thinkin’. Ever since I was a foal, the idea of goin’ on an adventure fascinated me; seein’ the world, findin’ treasure, skippin’ chores… sounded like a dream.
 
Goes without sayin’, I forgot all ‘bout how dangerous it can be out there. I reckon the fun part ain’t all there’s to adventurin’. S’hard work, too, jus’ like farmin’. And f’it weren’t for you savin’ my hide, I dunno if’n I would’a learned my lesson.”
 
Apple Basket sheepishly glances at his bandaged legs.
 
Apple Basket: “Moonflower told me ‘bout your quest, and she said that you didn’t have a boat, so… I’d like y’all to have mine. It ain’t much to look at, but it’s made outta the best applewood in the region, and s’got at least three days worth o’ supplies on board.
 
I figured if I don’t got what it takes to be an adventurer, then I wanna help those who do s’best I can!”
