When Corindonna got lost in the cave, Sam stayed close to her until he was found by their two adoptive fathers. After finding a house, Corindonna and Sam never left each other again. The young Diamond Dog refuses to let the slightest harm be done to his little sister and runs away at the slightest cry of her.
 
 
Growing up, Sam refused to resemble his uncles and adoptive father. He preferred to walk on all fours and refused to wear any clothing. Thanks to Corindonna, he learned to read became a very cultured Diamond Dog and often served as a bridge between these uncles and ponies. For her part, the unicorn had found her talent by making stained-glass windows with magnificent precious stones, which she melted. She didn’t care who her real parents were and loved her blended family.
