I prefer the metric system for most measurements. excepting temperature for a very simple reason, and that is that I don’t have to bring decimals in to say the exact temperature. when cooking I do prefer the metric system because it’s easier to remember the boiling and freezing points of water. I like to draw, and I can tell you right away that it is far easier to measure lines in centimeters.

Yeah, I make it a point to use SI for measurement, along with a 24-hour clock and a Y/M/D date format, as is commonly used in databases and PGLs. When posting times, I prefer the GMT format, and when posting monetary amounts, I precisely identify my nation’s currency as USD (which US lawyers, I have learned, don’t even recognize…).
