Introducing, the Magnificent Marvolo! Famed merchant and peddler of everything any rosales could ever want, need, or not need!
Marvolo is the eccentric traveling merchant caravan leader, a self-made rosales who made her way from nothing to greatness. Born to a lower-class family with a number of older siblings, Marvolo led a rather crowded life in her childhood. While her older siblings slaved away at jobs to help support the family, the littlest Marvolo spent her time reading stories and solving riddles and puzzles. By the time she was a teenager, she was tired of being taken care of by her elders and struck out on her own. Times were tough for a young rosales with no particular experience or skills, but she soon discovered her knack for salesmanship. She landed a job selling wares on the street for a craftsman who made lanterns and other useful odds and ends. However, she found herself unhappy when the lanterns she proudly peddled were brought back by unhappy customers who complained that they were faulty, and broke after only a use or two. But when Marvolo brought these concerns to the craftsman, he merely told her not to give refunds, and brush the customers off. Marvolo came to greatly resent this mentality, and so started off to begin her own business instead. She started out small, but soon began acquiring different wares from all over and traveling, bringing items from distant regions that were difficult to obtain in other places. By her adulthood, her enthusiasm and quick wit had earned her a huge and powerful trading caravan, and her name has become well-known, with dozens of smaller traders under her employ and traveling separately in her name.

Marvolo herself is an energetic and charismatic woman, always ready to strike up a conversation and use silly slight-of-hand tricks to dazzle children. She’s plucky and occasionally a bit odd, particularly when it comes to her hobbies. She describes herself as an amateur ghost hunter, and is obsessed with the supernatural, curses, and ghosts. As such her personal collection boasts a number of creepy trinkets and skulls, and she will almost always be willing to barter her merchandise for bits of folklore and mysterious or strange objects and artifacts. In addition to her trading business, she also offers a supernatural sleuthing practice. It is a considerably less successful venture. Nonetheless, her newfound wealth and power allow Marvolo to travel and live her life very freely, seeking out new and interesting merchandise and stories. She even employs many of her older siblings, and usually travels with a performing troupe. Wherever she goes, she brings the party with her. Unfortunately, she has a bit of a weakness for betting and drinking games, but she only ever uses her personal profits for these ventures. This is fortunate, seeing as she is not nearly as tolerant a drinker as she would like to think.
