From the very beginning, our world was associated with magic. Magic is an integral part of Equestria.  
The sky is also filled with magic. Sometimes particles of magic fall. We call this a shooting star.  
A thousand years ago, we ponies waited with enthusiasm for a star falling from the sky. After all, this is a piece of cosmic magic, very powerful magic. But this magic went only to those who found it, and often to those who were able to defend their right to own the star. After all, quarrels over the possession of magic happened often.  
This star could be used for their own purposes, like ordinary magic. But after using the star, it disappeared and turned into a piece of stone.  
But one day, by chance, a star fell near the pegasus’ house. Pegasus hid the star under his wing so that no one would notice her, since she did not want to allow quarrels between ponies. She wanted the stars to bring happiness to everyone, and not to someone in particular.  
Therefore, she made a wish for the fallen star in order to fulfill the wishes of all comers. Pegasus flew into the sky as high as he could. She raised a star to the sky. From that moment on, shooting stars scattered their magic across the planet and fulfilled the most sincere desires of the inhabitants of Equestria. And that same star now eternally shines in the sky, recalling the long history of those times
