Yes, I like cars.
Ever since Lesson Zero’s cutscene of magic kindergarten, I’ve wondered if twilight was bullied and if that was the reason she didn’t initially think friendship was that important.
I’d make a 2-parter about that.
Raithial

I’d make an episode or a two-parter along the lines of Tales of Ba Sing Sei(or however that is spelled). Short 4/5 minutes long clips that reaffirm the characters and what they’ve learned somewhat. They’re short, simple, and preferrably with as little lines as possible, conveying the majority of it’s content through looks and expressions.

Twilight Sparkle is reading back a letter she forgot to send to Princess Celestia and she has a freakout as she hurries to send the letter.

AJ is working on the farm when Applebloom finds a strange appletree that is syphoning the food of the surrounding trees, but the apples are special in some way and they come up with a plan to move the tree without disturbing the growth of the apples, while protecting the rest of the farm.

Rainbow Dash is getting ready to fly in front of the wonderbolts and has a nervous freakout, but she regains her confidence when she sees her friends on the tribune, and finishes with a sonic rainboom.

Rarity gets a new assignment by Hoity Toity of all people, and she tries to make it the best one she has made so far, but she runs out of blue jewels. She uses her find-mineral spell to find new ones and comes across a particularly beautifull gem. (think Arkenstone kind beauty), and she makes her best line so far.

Fluttershy is having trouble with a number of animals that are running amock on her … daycare? I dunno, and she tries her very best to keep them from trashing the place and in the end she stands up, and evicts them in a stern but kind way, The animals later come back and appologise.

Pinkie Pie has a breakdown as she is having trouble organising a fun party for a newcomer to ponyville, and she hasn’t met him yet propperly.
She then tries to spy on him, but he seems too mysterious to her. When the party comes he shows little to no amusement, and pinkie feels like she’s failed, mane deflating and all.
The newcomer then tells her that he is very happy to recieve such a welcome party.

Princess Celestia is having a tedious long day in the castle, and decides to play a prank on the guards. She leaves an illusion in the palace and Takes a break in the palace garden, where she finds Luna and the two embrace.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

  • Flim and Flam focused episode. They try selling various inventions which all eventually malfunction due to their greedy cheating. Lotsa references to inventors and rivalries during the Gilded Age. (One or two of the mane six appear in supporting roles.)

  • AJ enters a cooking contest with the Cakes. Twist and Bon Bon cameos.

I have a treasured concept that I’ll never likely write/draw due to lack of talent/lazyness:

    (long text)
    Granny Pie In Ponyville

Pinkie Pie is esthatic after receiving a letter from her beloved grandmother telling her that she’s coming for a visit to Ponyville (surprising her friends, who, like the viewers, probably assumed that the grandma she mentioned may already be dead). Pinkie starts practicing the harmonica & accordion and do all kind of other crazy stuff as preparation while explaining about Granny Pie. The mother of Clyde Pie, Granny is a wandering pots-and-pans peddler. She visited their rock farm often while Pinkie was growing up, sharing tales about all sorts of places she’s been to.

The mane six awaits Granny Pie with a welcome celebration. She turns out to be a small, short & stout elderly pony with a large straw hat and a bag on her back several sizes bigger than herself, with all kind of items (pans, shoes, musical instruments etc.) tied all over it. It immediately becomes evident that Granny has a difficult personality. She treats all of the mane six with scorn. She especially singles out Dash, being kind of a NEET and so embodying everything that’s wrong with the youngsters these days. In her effort to prove her wrong, Dash is quickly reduced to being her all purpose errand-girl. The only one she brightens up at is Pinkie, and they have a loving reunion. Her friends agree to let it go, deciding that she just needs some time to get accustomed to the town and then she’ll be friendlier.

Things don’t quite turn out quite like that, though. Granny Pie quickly terrorizes the whole town with her elderly woman rants. The pony market people hide under the counter from her when she comes, Cherry leaps into her balloon basket etc. Donut Joe holds out the longest listening with a straight face to her rants about the proper baked goods they used to get back in the day, but when she accuses him that he steals the middle of his dounts and that’s why he’s so fat, he puts out a CLOSED sign and calls in sick as well. The only one apparently oblivious to all this is Pinkie. When her friends arrive to talk to her about her granny, they find herself packing. (showcase of weird objects of course) She intends to leave Ponyville to live and travel with Granny Pie.

Facing the prospect of losing their friend, the mane5 decide that it’s up to them to do something about Granny Pie. Obviously they can’t just throw an elderly pony they have to respect out, so they try to devise a plan to “discourage” her.

A number of humorous shenanigans happen as the mane5 try to trick Granny into leaving and leaving Pinkie behind (there is a pandemic in the town; Pinkie was elected for an important duty by the Mayor; etc.) When Granny’s smarter than to fall for it, and the mane6 sees that she and Pinkie actually start talking about plans for after they leave, they get even more serious/desperate, trying to convince Granny that Pinkie is in fact responsible for all the things THEY are responsible for (Pinkie’s Celestia’s student, not Twilight, she’s the one who takes care of all the animals etc.) which gets increasingly awkward as they are forced to paint themselves in a bad light (Dash making herself look bad in front of the ‘Bolts, etc.) making them not enjoy the scheme very much anymore but still struggling with it for Pinkie’s sake.

When Pinkie finally interrupts asking what is going on, they all break down and admit that they just wanted to keep her from leaving - because of how much she means to them and the town as well.

This finally seems to get through to
Granny Pie too, who is amazed because she apparently never believed that they were such good friends (probably basing it on herself, as Granny seems to be used to not have too many/not be very goot at making friends herself - she must’ve thought the others were only friends with her out of convenience). Feeling immensely proud of her granddaughter’s achievement to have made so many friends, she urges her appreciate them and stay with them, as she now considers this to be a better destiny for Pinkie than what she planned for her, as well as sharing some other grandmotherly wisdom. Hearing it directly from her beloved grandma, Pinkie is convinced to stay. Granny Pie departs again after a tearful goodbye and a reconcilation with the other mane5. As a closing joke, a more enthusiastic than ever Pinkie shows off the stuff she learned from Granny she will use to keep everyone happy in Ponyville, like making a serenade with pots and pans.

The Princess and the Party Animal
Pinkie Pie and Celestia feel tired of the same old routine in their jobs, and a messed up spell by Twilight causes their minds to swap places with their bodies. “Princess” Pinkie would decree many silly things, such as every cake would require twice as much icing, and every room in the castle must be filled with trampolines. Celestia, working at Sugar Cube Corner, would end up eating the cakes she bakes rather than selling them. As you might expect, things escalate out of control rather quickly. In the end, they return to their original bodies and learn the importance and joys of their own jobs.

Closure to Spike’s crush. He asks Rarity out on a date, and gets rejected, because Rarity doesn’t love him in that way. Spike feels confused, betrayed, and leaves angrily.

He decides to go to Zecora’s for some help, like a potion to age him up or make him more attractive, but Zecora instead gives him a potion that makes him enter some kind of acid sequence, where he realizes the error of his ways.

He comes back to Rarity’s place to apologize, and they end on good terms

Yes. From many interviews and con appearances by the production staff my understanding is this:

First all the writers meet up to compile a big list of very rough episode ideas - nothing more than the bare premise. Since all the writers are freelance, this is the only time they meet. There is no writers’ room where they can bounce ideas of each other and collaborate, like on some shows that have a permanent writing staff.

Megan and Jayson take that list of ideas to Hasbro to discuss them, get feedback on what Hasbro needs to happen in the season (e.g. a wedding episode, more appearances of the train, a princess coronation), and hammer out the season to be produced.

Once they know what episodes will be made, they assign the actual writing to those writers they think are most suited to the subject. The chosen writer meets with Megan and Jayson, and they work out the episode in detail, writing all the major story beats on index cards and arranging them into the act structure on the wall.

Based on this, the writer creates an outline, which gets submitted to Hasbro for approval again. Once that approval and any further notes are received, the writer gets down to writing the actual episode, containing all the scenes and dialogue. And that’s the last the writer sees of the episode, until it airs.

The finished script is passed on to the storyboarders at DHX, who create the actual shots from the written scenes, including camera angles, composition, movement, etc. At this point the timing of the episode is being worked out, and scenes get cut down or extended (mostly cut down) to fit the time slot.

Next the voice actors get the adjusted script to record under the supervision of the director and with some input from the storyboard artists, to make sure the performances fit what’s planned for the animation.

The recordings and storyboards then get shipped overseas to Top Draw Animation in the Philippines, where the Flash animation takes place.

After that, I’m not quite sure of the process. I believe the scoring by William Anderson is only done after the finished animation comes back.

Watcher of the Watchmen
Equestria Games: 1-Parter

Synopsis: The Mane Cast, especially Rainbow Dash, are excited at the upcoming Equestria Games, only to become conflicted when she finds out Gilda’s using her dual-citizenship to participate. Torn between her anger at Gilda’s misbehaviour and wanting to fix things with her friend (hey, Element of Loyalty), she asks Cadance if she can use her “remind people of the love they have” spell could work.

Spoiler: It does, but because the spell doesn’t fix the underlying conflict, even if it can help calm its recipients down enough to give a fresh perspective, things get hairy when Gilda finds out Dash had a spell cast on her. While Gilda is less abrasive overall in this appearance due to, say, spending time in her nation’s military (griffons have Switzerland-style conscription in my headcanon), she gets really peeved that Dash resorted to the mind-warping as a first resort, and calling it “messed up pony priorities”. She elaborates about how hurt feelings are treated with the utmost seriousness, while everything else, up to and including genocide (we won’t be using these terms) can be so easily forgiven. She cites how Rainbow Dash got her Cutie Mark nearly killing Fluttershy (Gilda doesn’t actually know who she is), how one of the rulers tried a coup and was rewarded with rulership (Gilda doesn’t know anything about the Elements of Harmony beyond being an artifact-wielding special ops team), how the changelings did a full-scale invasion and now they’re running around like nobody’s business, and how cavalier they are at messing around with someone’s head.

The Mane Cast are disgusted with Gilda’s moral relativism, right until the part about the changelings sets in. You see, Gilda, being part eagle, can see into the ultraviolet spectrum, which lets her identify lesser changelings because their eyes glow ultraviolet light, but didn’t tell anyone because when did a little thing like genocide be such a big deal. This argument gets completely derailed when the Mane Cast realize that the changelings are trying to steal the Crystal Heart.
Flam

Goshhh, it’s too early for me to go into a detail, but an episode where Flim and Flam return and pay off a debt to the Apple family (as an apology and for destroying some of their trees), and in the process them learning more about the values of hard work and Applejack learning to be more open and accepting of new ideas and technology.

It would be a two parter cause everyone loves two parters.

Twilight and her friends got a letter from Princess Celestia and the go off to an adventure to a realm known as the Chaos Zone.
There, they’ll meet the counterparts of themselves (but with more chaotic matter) and meet with Discord (real one which Fluttershy made nice) who tries to bring order and harmony there.
The Mane 6 then tries to learn to help Discord but ultimately and hilariously fail.
And then they all give up and Discord transport them back.
They all then learn a lesson that some things can’t change cause it’s part of who they are.
Nature at its best!

It’d be a two parter where their races are switched and they all have to relearn how to live.

The bad guy will be one with the ability to change pony races=P

Episode two will climax with them all finally understanding how to use their new abilities (Like Applejack flying) to save the day.

Bad guy defeated his magic is undone.

Dragon Wings

Twilight is away to visit someone and Spike is left in the library alone. He wakes up in the morning and finds a large growth on his back. He starts freaking out about it thinking it’s his greed coming back and he might change into a big dragon. he starts to hide it under a blanket or a coat. He keeps freeking out as the episode goes on as some people start noticing. The other mane 6. Finally He goes to Zecora for help only to discover he’s starting to grow his wings.

An episode all about maturity, growth and stuff like that. Basically the token your growing up and weird stuff is happening to your body stuff.

One part: shows a normal day for Princess Celestia.

From raising the sun to eating breakfast to her work in council or doing paperwork. Show some interactions with her and Luna along with some instances of her rolling her eyes or finding humor in how much her servants fuss over little details for her.

End with her sitting in her lounge in front of the fireplace when a letter from Twilight comes in. She opens it, reads it, credits roll.

Maybe I’m boring, but I would love an episode like that.

“A friendship set in stone”:
Jim the cave troll (from the IDW comic) comes to Ponyville for a visit, and the mane six must avoid damage while sparing the feelings of the kind-hearted but unbelievably strong creature. Things come to a peak when the citizens think that he has foalnapped Pound and Pumpkin Cake, when he actually is just playing with them.
The letter to Celestia is a morale about acceptance.
