Alexandrite’s cutie mark is a scroll of parchment wrapped in a purple ribbon. He is an excellent note taker, and works as a secretary for Twilight Sparkle. He has great penmanship for a pegasus, and just enjoys working with quill and parchment in general.
 
Alexandrite was the second foal to be born to Rarity and Spike, and is also the youngest of his siblings (explained when I post Match Maker). He is very sweet and kind, but can be a bit of a goofball, especially around Butterfly (mostly before they got together). He is protective of his friends and family, and often admonishes others if they act rude or mean to anypony. Drite (Butterfly and the Apple twins call him “Dritey”) also has a good fashion sense for a stallion, because Rarity burned information about appearances into his mind. He often accidentally blurts out fashion advice when somepony is favoring a hideous article of clothing, which the mares appreciate and the stallions laugh at.
 
Drite has a fairly average relationship with Butterfly, and they both love each other very much. However, they do spend a lot of time together, and Butters often tells him to not be so overprotective of her. They have their ups and downs, like normal couples, but since Drite practically worships the ground upon which Butters trots, they do not have many fights. The reason behind this goddess treatment is because of who their mothers are…
 
Drite and Pearl are like typical siblings, as they often fight over who eats first, licking the bowl after making cupcakes first, etc. However, they do care for each other, but know it is weird and annoying to be loving siblings all of the time, so they spice it up to make life more interesting. Match Maker, on the other hoof, loves Drite like crazy and used to pester him when she was a foal.
