She has done so several times actually. Why else would she be friends with Starlight and Gilda, not to mention Sunset Shimmer in the Equestria Girls world? As for Lightning Dust, she was fine with her when she said she was only endangering her own crew, and only got suspicious when Dust tried to convince Scootaloo to join them.

Ehhh…no. I’m good. I will respond to comments when I see them, but I hate these fandom debates way too much to simply contact someone out of the blue to argue about how a fictional character was handled.
 

 
Possibly, I’m not saying the show is perfect, though personally, I didn’t have a problem with it myself since it made Ahuizotl a way more three-dimensional character than whatever he was supposed to be before.

I would say that the situation with Ahuizotl is a bit different. I mean, he is the archenemy of Daring Do, and she’s a major recurring character in the series, so finding a way to resolve the conflict between them is a way to bring closure to the whole Daring Do plot as a whole. Not to mention was Ahuizotl kind of an enigma, given that he was apparently a major villain trying to accomplish…something, but didn’t get the attention of Celestia or the Mane Six for the most part. He was just there with no explanation. So yeah, giving some answers to his motives and who the hell he is was a bit more warranted.

I feel like you should tell all of this to my friend instead. He’s how I was influenced to think about Lightning Dust this way. Too bad, that he’s too fixated on his art projects or whatever is going on in his life.
 
Ahuizotl was never a major character too and yet they throw us a surprise redemption with the writer of that episode having not seen previous Daring Do episodes.

I think you’re severely misunderstanding what kind of character Lightning Dust is. She was only ever meant as a foil for Rainbow Dash in one episode, to show someone who is as cocky and reckless as Rainbow Dash, but without any restraint or compassion. The only reason they brought her back is because her character served the episode well, since it was about Scootaloo falling in with the wrong crowd.
 
The writers could of course have redeemed her or something, but honestly, there really is no need to do that. She was never a major character, nor would her redemption really do anything for the show. Besides, I’d rather have her stay in character to how we saw her before than throw in a redemption for a character who has no need for one.

Last time I remember, Rainbow Dash was all “Wha?! Oh no its you!” when Lightning Dust revealed herself and as for the rest? Shitty writing. Why bother giving a character that my friend cares about proper closure when the show just chose to fuck her over while constantly prasing their precious Q 2.0? My friend has even denied me from talking about the rest of the show because he refuses to watch the rest!
 
Yes, but the majority of those outcomes were still the result of Discord’s actions. And given how we was the one to decide the fate of the evil trio was flat out disgusting since that was HIS OWN FAULT to begin with but “oh no, we can’t do put that kind of reputation to our Star Trek reference!”

Rainbow Dash was ready to forgive and forget at the beginning of the episode, however, after Lightning Dust put Scootaloo in that rocket even after she begged to back out of it, Rainbow wasn’t so forgiving anymore. If someone did that in real life, then they’d be arrested and probably sent to jail. Lightning Dust got lucky that she just blasted away Team Rocket style.
 
Discord does get punished quite regularly actually. Don’t you remember that time he got turned to stone, or had his magic drained…twice, or got blasted to smithereens? I wouldn’t count any of those as getting away scot-free. Besides, Lightning Dust is still way luckier than King Sombra, the Storm King or the evil trio.

Whatever. I would ask one of my friends to help me out here since he felt for Lightning Dust back in her debut episode but since he has “retired from the fandom and its dramas”, I’m just shit out of luck.
 
And while you do have a point about why she was kicked out of the academy, there’s no reason why she and Rainbow Dash can’t be on good terms again. Also Discord gets away with shit scot-free and most of the fandom doesn’t even bat an eye on that.

A one-note jerk character who didn’t bat an eye at the prospect of almost killing several ponies got the consequences of her actions. And she didn’t even go to jail or anything, just kicked out of the academy. In fact, I bet they chose not to use the alternate ending because that would make it seem as if she got away with her actions scot-free.

Yeah I remember all of those drafts but this was the one draft that should have happened.

Yes, and Pinkie Pie was originally a pegasus, fluttershy was an earth pony, Princess Celestia was originally Queen Celestia, Princess Luna was named Princess Selene, Trixie was a stallion, Tempest Shadow’s name was Cosmos and was Luna and Celestia’s brother and made out of different animal parts, the Storm King was a three-eyed lightning wolf, Capper had a tail with a head on it…not to mention the very awful original idea they had for Applejack’s parents, which thankfully was replaced by ‘The Perfect Pear’.
 
If every early draft would have been used, we would have had a very different show.
