UPDATE: The only changes I made to Double Dee were his ears and tail. I realized that he had foal ears even though he’s an early adolescent. So I gave him a similar ear design to early teen colts, like Sandbar and Star Tracker. However, I made them a little rounded at the tip and wider since Edd’s design is based on Snails and Stygian. I also refined the white line details in his hat. And for those who were not aware here on Twitter, I changed his coat to the color of his shirt.____

Like with Ed, I started working on this in early 2017, back when I was trying to master the pen tool. I based his design on Snails, seeing as how he was the perfect choice for design: big nose, skinny neck, large head. The perfect gait. Unlike with Ed, I was content with how he turned out. However, I forgot about the two until recently. Since he’s the intelligent inventor of the trio (and seeing as how he is very similar to Twilight Sparkle), I made Double Dee as a Unicorn.
 
As you can see, I haven’t given him a cutie mark. The reason is because I don’t have an idea, and I’m not really good with cutie marks. I thought a magnifying glass, but it wasn’t what I had in mind. Besides it should be at least three objects that not only represent him but also the trio he exists in. If you guys have other ideas and/or you can make cutie marks for me, let me know. :) (Smile)
