Yeah, but I’m not talking about where the characters or EqG are supposedly set, I was talking about where teh artist is.
‘Cos if (and this is a huge if, I’m terrible at art) I was drawing a pic of an EqG character, I’d very probably end up throwing in a real-world reference to where I am, in Britain; despite EqG being a fictionalised Eagleland. xP
Simiestria is heavily implied to be a fictionalized U.S., with green dollarydoos and everything.
Oooooor, who says the artist even has to be an American? …well, not everywhere has a tax deadline in April. Ours is 31 January (UK). My personal tax colleagues are going crazy right now, doing 7-day working weeks to get over 300 tax returns done by the end of the month (’cos a whole bunch of people are just bothering to send in all their tax info now… xD)

Not to mention that Sunset’s apparently filing several months before April 15th (the U.S. tax filing deadline). Maybe she got her W-2 form early… :)
She didn’t use too…but now that she is a “good girl” she has to contribute to her choses society despite her dubious legal status.
Guess ponies are slightly more honest than Yoshis.
That’s what Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers are for. The IRS doesn’t care that she’s a horse; they still want their cut.
