As the kids continued to explore the boat, they heard someone singing. They followed the sound until they came to a closed door. Angel opened it and they all gasps at who they saw. It was Fluttershy’s brother Zephyr Breeze. He was singing a song that his pony counterpart once sang with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash’s counterparts. He hadn’t noticed them come in.

Then Zephyr jumped in fright when he finally noticed all the kids watching him.
 
“What are you kids doing here?!” He asked.
 
“That, was amazing!” Melody said.
 
“You rocked!” Clover exclaimed.
 
“Rock on!” Zach pumped a fist.
 
“Yeah!” Sweetheart agreed.
 
“Gotta admit. That was really good,” Caitlyn said.
 
“Really? I mean- it’s a talent,” Zephyr bragged.
 
“We didn’t know you could sing?” Logan said.
 
“Well of course I can,” Zephyr replied, matter-of-factly. “You didn’t think Fluttershy was the only one in our family who could sing, did you?”
 
“Not till you just mentioned it,” Patch stated dryly.
 
“And unlike her, I’m not afraid to show it,” Zephyr continued to bost.
 
“So why don’t you?” Angel asked rhetorically.
 
“Oh! Uh, well… um?” Zephyr tried to find the words. “Uh, that is to say…”
 
“You are shy about singing?” Teddy guessed.
 
“Ok, fine, I am,” Zephyr admitted reluctantly. “But I’m still not as bad as Fluttershy.”
 
“He’s got a point,” Bright Eyes said, remembering what Fluttershy told her and Sweetheart about her stage fright.
 
“Guess it runs in the family,” Scootaloo muttered to her friends.
 
“I heard that!” Zephyr said. “And you ain’t wrong.”
 
“At least you weren’t called a sick cat,” Caitlyn frowned, remembering the Color Strikes.
 
“Who told ya that?” Zephyr asked.
 
“I don’t wanna talk about it,” Caitlyn grumbled. “Just don’t listen to jerks like that.”
 
“Maybe you could sing in a band, like Fluttershy,” Half Note suggested.
 
“Yeah,” Angel put it. “That way you don’t get stage fright.”
 
“Hey!” Sweetie Belle piped up. “The Rainbooms are doing a concert later. You should ask to sing with them!”
 
“Yeah, the Turtles and April are going to play with them,” Zach added. “And so is Carter, Blade, and Starlight. I sure they’ll have room for one more.”
 
“I don’t know?” Zephyr said. “Their still a little distrustful of me since that whole surfing incident.”
 
“Oh, yeah, Shini told me about that,” Caitlyn noted, with a chuckle. “That’s what you get for being a boastful lair.”
 
Zephyr frowned at that. “Anyway, I’m not sure they’ll let me sing with them.”
 
“Well, you’ll never know until you ask them,” Apple Bloom stated.
 
 
Elsewhere on the boat’s stage, the Rainbooms, Carter, Turtles, and April were practicing with their instruments. Leo played an electric guitar, Donnie a keytar, Raph combined his drum set with Pinkie’s, Mikey played an electric bass, April a tambourine, and Carter also played an electric guitar, and Starlight and Blade singing backup.
 
When they finished, Casey, Karai, Shinigami, and the Young Six clapped and cheered.
 
“Well done!” Sandbar cheered.
 
“Bravo! Bravo!” Silverstream cheered.
 
“Wonderful!” Ocellus said
 
“Yona like!” Yona smiled.
 
“That was good!” Gallus said.
 
“More like awesome!” Smolder stated.
 
“Thank you! Thank you!” Mikey took a bow.
 
“You guys were great too,” Shinigami said to the Turtles and April.
 
“You were great too , Carter!” Casey added.
 
“Thanks, Case,” Cater replied.
 
“We’re gonna give a sensational concert tonight,” Twilight stated.
 
“I still don’t feel comfortable going on a stage to perform,” Raph said.
 
“Relax, Raph,” Sunset eased. “Everyone will think you’re all in costumes. Besides, a majority will be students from CHS.”
 
“And you guys rocking out with us, will be awesome!” Rainbow pumped a fist.
 
“I know how you can be more awesome,” said a voice.
 
“Oh, no!” Rainbow winced and shut her eyes. She knew that voice.
 
Everyone looked to the entrance to see Zephyr Breeze leaning in the doorway. “Hey there, Rainbooms,” he waved and walked up to the stage. “And Mikey, Donnie, Raph, and Shini! Long time no see!”
 
“Hello, Zephyr,” the four deadpaned.
 
Zephyr then turned to the others. “And this must be the rest of the group I didn’t meet at the beach. Let’s see- you’re the oldest turtle Leonardo.”
 
“N-nice to meet you,” Leo shook Zephyr’s hand. “I heard a lot about you from my brothers.”
 
“And these must be the others,” Zephyr turned to the allies. “Casey Jones, Keno, and April O’Neil! You really are a looker.”
 
“Uh….. Thanks?” April said, weirded out, while Donnie growled in jealously.
 
Zephyr then spoke to Karai. “And you’re Karai! Shini’s boss. Leader of the new Hand Clan.”
 
“One, Shinigami and I are friends. And two, it’s the Foot Clan!” Karai corrected.
 
“Sorry! Kinda touchy aren’t you?” Zephyr was taken aback. Then turned to the ponies turned humans. “And you must be Starlight Glimmer and Blade Swipe.”
 
“Um hi?” Starlight replied, awkwardly.
 
“How do you do?” Blade greeted, flatly.
 
“What do you want, Zephyr?” Rainbow asked in annoyance.
 
“Well…” Zephyr began. “I got word that you’re all preforming a concert on this river boat, and I was wondering if it’s not too much trouble, if I could sing with you all?”
 
Everyone just stared for a moment, before they, minus Fluttershy and the Young Six, burst out laughing.
 
Zephyr frowned. “That wasn’t a joke.”
 
“Uh, can you even sing at all?” Applejack asked, still chuckling.
 
“Absolutely,” Zephyr replied. “I’m kind a like a pro.”
 
“Like when you told us you could surf?” Raph inquired.
 
“And totally wiped out?” Mikey added.
 
“It’s not like that whole surfing thing!” Zephyr stated. “I can sing! Just ask Fluttershy.”
 
Everyone looked at the girl, who answered, “I’ve never actually heard him sing before?”
 
“Oh right,” Zephyr remembered. “I’ve never sung when anybody was around. But I can prove it!” He took a deep breath, but before he could belt out, he was cut off by Sunset.
 
“That won’t be necessary!” She said quickly. “Look, Zephyr, we appreciate you asking us, but, I’m afraid the answer’s no.”
 
“What?!” Zephyr exclaimed. “And why not? You allowed the Turtles, Carter, and even Starlight and Blade Swipe as back up, why not me?”
 
“We got everything covered,” Twilight said, in excuse.
 
“There’s no room on stage?” Sunset added.
 
“I had a bean burrito for lunch,” Raph made up.
 
“You’ll fall off!” Rainbow Dash put in.
 
“Um……. you might slip….. on some… churros!” Mikey fumbled.
 
“Really?” Carter gave him a flat look.
 
“Now if yah don’t might, Zephyr, we need to get back to practice,” Applejack said.
 
“But!” Zephyr suddenly felt someone grab his shoulder and craned his neck to see a smirking Raph. Then Zephyr was thrown right out of the auditorium. He poked his head back in and asked, “So, is that a maybe?” And he was bashed in the face by Pinkie’s drum cymbal, knocking him out the door.
 
“Rainbow Dash!” Fluttershy scolded.
 
“What?” Rainbow shrugged. “He asked for it.”
 
“Uh, why Rainbooms not want Fluttershy’s brother in band?” Yona asked.
 
“Because he brags too much,” Rainbow Dash answered. “Yeah I know I do it all the time but at least I can prove it! He can’t!”
 
“Have we ever told you guys about the Pulverizer?” Raph said to the creatures turned humans.
 
“The guy who wanted to be a vigilante and became mutated into Mutagen Man?” Ocellus stated.
 
“He was unable to take ninja training serious and not listen to our warnings,” Donnie explained. “Zephyr’s just like that.”
 
“So chances are, if we let him sing with us, then he’ll be asking us to teach him ninjisu,” Sunset stated.
 
“It’s true,” Fluttershy admitted. “He asked me when I had to tell him about the Turtles.”
 
“And he tried asking us when we met him on the beach,” Donnie noted.
 
“So we don’t want anyone to pay like Pulverizer did. It’s for Zephyrs’ protection,” Leo put in.
 
The Young Six looked at each other, before Sandbar spoke up, “It’s not that we don’t understand…” he began.
 
“But, it seems like there’s a more personal reason you don’t want him to sing in the band,” Ocellus finished.
 
“Okay okay!” Raph confessed. “The other main reason is because, we don’t like him!”
 
“AT ALL!” Rainbow Dash stated, matter of factly.
 
“It’s nothing personal,” Mikey said. “He got our names wrong.”
 
“He thinks talking big makes him sound cool,” Donnie stated.
 
“All he wants is attention,” Fluttershy said. “But he can be really sweet sometimes.”
 
“But other times, he’s really slow,” Sunset stated.
 
“He’s obnoxious!” Applejack said.
 
“Annoying!” Raph added.
 
“A total pest!” Casey put in.
 
“And worst of all, he’s totally obsessed with me!” Rainbow Dash finished with a groan. “And even if he could sing, which I doubt, we wouldn’t let him sing in our band if our lives depended on it!”
 
“Besides,” Sunset added. “We don’t have time to teach him the words to our song.
 
“Well, I guess that’s understandable,” Silverstream admitted, as she and her knew how obnoxious Zephyr’s pony counterpart was. Although she, Yona, and Sandbar were actually quite fond of him.
 
 
Meanwhile, the Rock N Beats and the other kids had gathered around the fallen Zephyr, who still had the cymbal on his face.
 
“They said no?” Teddy asked.
 
“Flawlessly,” Zephyr deadpanned, then he sat up, taking the cymbal off, and sighed. “Guess I won’t be singing in a band any time soon. Thanks for the encouragement, kiddos.” He started to leave.
 
The kids all felt bad for Zephyr and wondered what they could do, when Apple Bloom had an idea. She whispered it to the others and they’ll all nodded in agreement.
 
“Hey, Zephyr!” Lancer called.
 
“Yeah?”
 
“We know a band that would be more than happy to let you sing with them,” Half Note said.
 
“Really?” Zephyr asked. “And who might this band be?”
 
“Just come on,” Angel said, as she pushed him elsewhere, with the other kids following.
 
 
As night came, it was show time as Fugitoid walked out onto the stage and spoke in a microphone.
 
“Ladies and Gentlemen, I give to you, the Rainbooms! With special guests! The Ninjas!”
 
Soon the curtain rose, revealing the Rainbooms and Turtles. The girl dressed in the costumes they wore when they first beat the Dazzlings. The Turtles were dressed in rocker clothes, the allies wore performer dresses and hip hop clothing, Starlight wore a lacey dress, and Blade wore a swag hoodie.

“I’m sure he’d be more proud than upset,” Twilight reassured him.
 
“Huh,” Blade said. “Never thought I’d see myself on stage.”
 
“There’s always a first for everything,” Starlight stated.
 
“Wait!” Shouted Bright Eyes voice. She ran up onto the stage. Her hair was loose and she wore a silver flapper dress and carried a tambourine.
 
“Bright Eyes?” Sunset asked. “What are you doing?”
 
“And why are you dressed like that?” Leo added.
 
“All will be explained momentarily,” Bright Eyes said, then spoke into the mic. “Ladies and Gentlemen, there’s another band who would like to preform for you.”
 
“There is?” Fluttershy inquired.
 
“Who is it, girl?” Mikey asked, excitedly.
 
“Like I said, all will be explained, momentarily,” Bright Eyes repeated as she went behind the curtain.
 
Then, the curtain rose and in the dim light, everyone could see a band playing and singing a slow beat. From what everyone could tell, all the band members were short, except for one standing in the center and singing with one of the shorter figures.

After they sang the slow beat, the music suddenly became faster and louder, as spotlights shone down on each of the musicians one by one. Revealing to everyone’s surprise, the Rock N Beats, the CMC, Zach, Caitlyn, Bright Eyes, and Teddy.
 
All the girls were dressed in jazzy dresses like Bright Eyes and all the boys wore tuxedos. Zach, Teddy, and Ace played brass instruments and Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Caitlyn sang back up with Clover, Patch, and Sweet Note.
 
“It’s the Rock N Beats!” Mikey said, in excitement.
 
“WOW! Look at em go!” Casey said.
 
April smiled. “I’m glad to see Caitlyn actually performing on stage.”
 
“Same with our sisters,” Rarity said, on behalf of her and Applejack.
 
“Sing it, Scoot!” Rainbow Dash called to Scootaloo.
 
“But who are those two in the center?” Carter asked, as the spotlights had yet to shine on them.
 
“Whoever they are, their really really good!” Pinkie said, grinning.
 
“But, who’s that tall one?” Fluttershy asked, before she and the others had a sneaking suspicion.
 
Then the spotlight shone on the two figures. One was Angel, wearing a black dress. And the tall one, wearing a white tux and matching hat, was none other than…

“Better than that time at the pet show!” Lancer chimed in.
 
“We rocked!” Clover cheered.
 
“Yeah we did!” Patch agreed.
 
“Woo! That felt good!” Caitlyn exclaimed.
 
“We rocked it, girlfriend!” Angel said, and the two high fived.
 
Sweetheart turned to Zach, Teddy, and Ace. “You guys were great!”
 
“Right back at ya,” Zach replied.
 
“I didn’t know you could play the trumpet?” Bright Eyes said to Teddy.
 
“There’s a lot you don’t know about me, sis,” Teddy replied, smugly.
 
“And nice work, Zephyr!” Ace said.
 
“Yeah that sounded great!” Teddy added.
 
“Was there any doubt?” Zephyr asked.
 
“Not here,” Bright Eyes replied.
 
Melody turned to the CMC. “And you three sounded awesome. You’re more than welcome to sing backup with us anytime!”
 
“Really?” Sweetie Belle smiled widely.
 
“You mean it?” Apple Bloom asked, in excitement.
 
“That would be amazing!” Scootaloo said.
 
Zephyr smiled at that, when…
 
“Zephyr!”
 
“Fluttershy?” He turned around and was suddenly embraced by his big sister.
 
“You were wonderful, Zephyr!” She exclaimed in joy.
 
“Of course I was!” Zephyr boasted.
 
“And I’m very proud!” Fluttershy then looked to the kids. “And I’m proud of all of you for giving my brother the chance show his talent.”
 
“It was no big,” Patch said.
 
“Yeah,” said Angel. “The whole thing was all Apple Bloom’s idea.”
 
“Yep,” Apple Bloom said, shyly. “I figured if your friends wouldn’t let Zephyr sing in your band, then we’d let him sing in ours.”
 
“And speaking of my friends,” Fluttershy looked back with a knowing frown. “They have something they want to say to my brother…”
 
Zephyr and the kids saw the rest of the Rainbooms, Turtles, and Allies standing off to the side looking sheepish.
 
“We’re real sorry about earlier,” Leo apologized.
 
“We should have at least given you a chance,” Sunset added.
 
“Everyone deserves a chance,” Donnie put in.
 
“Yeah,” Mikey said, as everyone else voiced their apologies.
 
Then they gave stern looks at Rainbow and Raph who sighed.
 
“Yeah we’re really sorry, Zephyr,” Rainbow Dash apologized, reluctantly.
 
“Me too,” Raph added.
 
“Apologies excepted,” Zephyr said. “And maybe since I’m proven myself and taught that everyone deserve a chance, maybe I’m worthy of being trained as~~”
 
“NO!” All the Turtles said in unison.

Mikey then spoke to the kids. “And you kids were awesome too!”
 
“Yeah, you kids were totally metal!” Casey agreed.
 
“You kids never cease to amaze me,” Raph said.
 
“Thanks,” Lancer replied.
 
“Glad you like it,” Patch said.
 
“And I for one love those outfits!” Rarity said, looking at Angel’s dress. “Wherever did you get them?”
 
“Sweet Note made them for us,” Half Note motioned to her twin sister.
 
Sweet Note blushed. “Well, technically, they were just some old clothes we found in an old trunk. I just cleaned and fixed them up. With everyone’s help, of course. But I did add a few touches.”
 
“And those touches are marvelous, darling!” Rarity complemented. “You have quite an eye for fashion, Sweet Note.”
 
“If Rarity’s impressed, then you know it’s true,” Sweetie Belle told her.
 
“Oh, well thanks,” SweetNote said to Rarity.
 
“We should share fashion ideas!”
 
April spoke to Caitlyn. “And I’m really proud of you, Caitlyn. For being brave enough to sing again.”
 
Caitlyn smiled. “Thanks.”
 
“That’s my big sis,” Zach said.
 
“You were great too, Angel!” Carter told his sister. “I had no idea you could sing?”
 
“You never asked,” Angel frown.
 
“Oh,” Carter realized. “I’m sorry about that, sis.”
 
“No big,” Angel said. “Maybe we could do a Sib duet sometime.”
 
“Remind me sometime.”
 
“And speaking of siblings,” Applejack turned to her sister. “You were great too, Apple Bloom.”
 
“So were you, Scoot,” Rainbow Dash ruffled Scootaloo’s head.
 
“And you sang wonderfully, Sweetie Belle,” Rarity told her sister.
 
“Thanks,” Apple Bloom said.
 
“It was nothing,” Scootaloo shrugged.
 
Sweetie Belle blushed. “Just helping out.”
 
At that moment, the Young Six came running up.
 
“That was amazing!” Silverstream exclaimed.
 
“You guys were so great!” Sandbar cheered.
 
Yona jumped up and down. “Yona like Rock n Beats!”
 
“Really wonderful!” Ocellus smiled.
 
“As Professor Jones here just said, METAL!” Smolder pumped a fist.
 
“Awesome!” Gallus said, in excitement.
 
“Bright Eyes was right about you guys!” Sandbar said.
 
“We try,” Melody shrugged.
 
Then the Young Six seemingly walked up to the Rainbooms as Ocellus said, “Um, we were all wondering, if maybe we can be backup singers in your band?”
 
“Well, I suppose we can find some~~” Rainbow Dash started.
 
“Oh, we weren’t asking to sing in your band,” Smolder corrected, cutting her off.
 
“We were asking to sing in the Rock N Beats!” Silverstream said.
 
“What?!” Rainbow Dash gasped.
 
The Rock N Beats looked at each other as Sweetheart spoke, “Well, the more the merrier.”
 
“And we could use some extra backup singers for the upcoming talent show?” Logan stated.
 
Then the Rock N Beats nodded and the Young Six cheered.
 
“But, they, huh?!” Rainbow Dash stammered.
 
“Let it go, Dash,” April said.
 
“Besides,” Starlight began. “I think it’ll be good for them to be in a band with kids their own age.”
 
Rainbow Dash sighed in defeat, knowing it was true.
