The worse thing is that he put his name on the banner without putting yours.
 
Even if it’s mentioned in a separate blog post, it doesn’t have the visibility that his name has.

In all seriousness, contact the EqD editors and make them aware. Given your dA page for the vector does not indicate a license for the content they should have contacted you to ask. It’s not like it’s one vector out of hundreds in the background of a piece; it’s the main component of the banner. For them to have not checked is lazy and rude, and absolutely in violation of your copyright.
