I remember getting drunk for the first time at 14. At my parent’s World of Warcraft guild meeting. It was an embarassing but great time. I highly encourage parental supervision for a kid’s first hammering. To let them know what’s normal and stuff, keep them from panicking over fun things like loss of balance. Really did me wonders to discover this ‘potion of fortify charisma’.
 
Good question though, the ponyworld let’s the CMC get away with a heck of a lot for their age. And young adults like the mane 6 can do anything at all. Age limits seem to be pretty dang low, if they even exist at all.

Sounds logical and reasonable to me.

Since the drinking age is based off the Holy Symbol of Trinity and the age required to reach knighthood in medieval times (21), the drinking age of horses should also reflect both the minimum age required to become a royal guard and age of a middle-aged horse.
 
Therefore, the minimum age for Equestrian ponies to drink alcohol should be 12 years old
