If not obvious, I am referring to Equestria Girls. Twilicorn I expect to be great.

Worried about? No. If true, and not a one-show gag, it will probably suck, get no audience, and quietly die. If a one-show gag, it will probably suck, and the series will recover a week later when there’s a good episode.
 
And on the off chance it doesn’t suck, bonus.

I already passed the period of disbelief and rage and finally went straight to acceptance. Dunno if anyone else made this argument already so here goes.
 
I see this “Equestria Girls” as two things mostly:
 
1- Capturing the tween/young adult niche. Granted, we bronies are quite the lot but seriously most nonbronies would get turned off at the idea of these “autistic grown men who like little girl cartoons”, as some trolls are wont to call us. So make them human and put them in a school setting? It’s slightly more tolerable and less likely to make drama over what is liked and not liked.
 
2- Big eyes? Design? Holy crap, it’s “animeish”!  
This is by far the biggest reason. Why? It reminds me of a certain fanmade humanized comic series which deals with “reincarnated human” ponies. I don’t remember the link but the “series” is buried around the depths of derpibooru. It garnered positive reviews even for humanized human ponies, so why not give this a chance? Granted the skin color is something but hey, it ain’t supposed to be perfect.
 
So yeah, those are my two reasons? Am I excited? Not really. I will take this with a grain of salt and see what the movie in April will be about.
 
tl;dr aside, stop the drama, give it one damn chance.

Princess Cadence, Shining Armor being Twilight’s brother, princess Luna’s Season 2 appearance, Discord being a villain, Discord being a good guy. All these things have two things in common; I’ve heard people say that these were a sign of the death of the show/fandom, and the second is that these things did nothing to kill the show.

i am willing to bet that the equestria girls drama is very real and legitimately something to be worried about

That “Human spinoff” is a load of (no pun intended) horseshit.

Re: Alicorn twilight, I’m more than all right with this. It advances the plot of the show and opens up more story opportunities about leadership responsibilities vs beng true to yourself
 
Re: human spinoff, Guys, the show is called My Little PONY. The show is about PONIES. If we get a one-show elseworld story, then great I’ll watch. heck, I’ll probably watch a separate spinoff series too. However, MLP has been around since 1984 and the one constant has been PONIES! No matter where the human rumor goes, the core show won’t change that much.
 
I guess it’s just really hard to rustle my jimmies when it comes to Ponies. Oh well…

I have literally NEVER seen anyone give a legitimate reason for hating Comic Sans; the moment you ask they just respond with “it’s evil” or a reaction image/GIF or some such shit. I think it’s just ‘popular’ to hate Comic San and they all do it because TV Tropes or some popular internet personality told them to.
 
So now that I got that out of the way I will say this; I love Alicorn Twilight, I’ll give Equestria Girls a try if it’s true, but as it pertains to all of them I LOVE the drama!!

I’m just sick of the drama. I’ll bet just about anything that the drams is worse then the actual cause for it.

I just cant say no to more Trixie, I dont care how. And about alicorn Twilight, I trust the writers.

Depends on what they prophesize. If they say the end of the world they are usually wrong. But the end of a show, a regime, or a movement? That can and does happen.

By making any posts or publicly acknowledging the drama in any way, you’re perpetuating it. I really don’t get why people don’t understand this simple fact.
 
And before anybody points out I’m doing exactly that, I’m well aware. I’m mostly neutral in my opinion about the drama, myself.

Something I keep noticing about doomsday prophets, they’re always wrong.

Just judging by the hate I’ve seen lately it’s pretty obvious that the fandom is dying. I kind of called it. I give it 1 more year at most before you see a 50 percent drop off.

Even if they do make Equestria girls, it’s not gonna effect the main show since it’s a spin off. You can happily watch MLP FIM, and not watch the spinoff.
