Hah, damn, didn’t realize this was an SVG.
 
Yeah, too many people completely ignore canvas/document size. The canvas size for an SVG is infinite, so you have to specify how much of it you actually want to display. I’ve barely used Illustrator (because, my god, that UI, wat), but I’m starting to think it’s pretty bad at making it clear what the document size is.

Let me explain about briefly the derpy SVGs.
 
Inkscape can create and interact with SVGs directly via namespace extensions. Just like with Illustrator, one works with an artboard or canvas that defines the boundaries of the actual artwork. However, this may be ignored by some artists, resulting in only part of the work being in bounds, like here. I have had to go back and fix a couple of the SVGs I’ve uploaded in the past due to this. This is easily fixed directly with Inkscape, but these tend to be humorous in its own right.
