Thanks to a Patreon request (patreon.com/Harwick), the call went out for some Kirin art. So have some Autumn Blaze… She was a fun addition to the show, and the kirin themselves have a great design melding a few influences. I also like that fact that, unlike the Changelings, they were allowed to keep their scary “Nirik” appearances to fit their moods, and didn’t have that side stripped from their designs. (I don’t mind the colorful “good” changeling look, but I would have liked some of the classic black bugs to stick around.)

Maybe. There are ‘mixed states’, which are rather interesting, and anger can be a sign of depression. With how fast she goes between kirin and nirik though, maybe it’s ultra-rapid cycling…?
Regardless, I can see and identify with both sides of this adorable, snuggleable, little horsey-like creature. ♥
it’s hard to imagine referring to autumn blaze as a low mood.
maybe she’s just cheerful and hot tempered.
Short answer: IME, it’s her kirin form; she experiences __hypo__mania, so although a pretty stressful time (and a ‘crash’ afterward), she makes a whole lot more friends, has a lot more creativity, and gets stuff done! :D
