It means you’re taking things too literally.

The time of Sombra’s imprisonment was in the ballpark of 1,000 years. The time of Luna’s imprisonment was much more precise. The time of her release was accurately predicted to the day because it was a celestial alignment that enabled her escape and astronomical events like that can be calculated.

I doubt they meant 1000 years to the exact day and second. Just a rough estimate.
