That’s fine, your opinion because they have to be detailed, top tier, and worthy of the attention of big musuems and art exhibits right? No other artist is allowed recognition here and must be forgotten unless they can deliver the things I said earlier according to you. Not every artist can achieve that. They have every right to draw however they want, regardless of if it’s bad, decent, good, or incredible. You’d be very surprised to see how generic pieces on this site have a very dominating and positive effect on viewers, just simple drawings like sketches and such that leave an amazing impact. Is this the very best piece comparable to the more skilled artist, no. Is it still appealing and brings in praise due to it’s cute style? Yes. You can dislike it all you want, but asking why it’s featured because it’s dull to you is kinda messed up. Can’t wait to see you complain about another “20 minute” piece of artwork on the next featured image. See you there.

Featuring an image here draws attention to the artwork that artist has produced. If we only saw the very best art in features, a lot of artists just wouldn’t get a chance.
 
(Also, a simpler style is actually harder to get right, because mistakes are more prominent).
 
There’s a lot of artists here that really deserve a bit of recognition for their commitment to the fandom.
 
Even I have had art in the feature slot, although it’s not to everyone’s taste. (I believe I have better pictures than the one I had featured but that’s just my opinion).

Imagine thinking that only the best artwork needs to be featured only…it’s clear that you’re either new or haven’t been paying attention at all to the artwork that’s been featured over the years. A lot of them are “simple and nothing special.”
