A commision i ordered from a friend sometimes ago. The artist could not post it on the Deviantart profile, so i post it here. Remember to check the artist out.

And a little story i wrote about it. Feel free to give some feedback.
 
Wrong jewel:
 
In a cave not far from the the giant pyramid, a pegasus slave empties tray after tray of honey glaced dates down into the mouth of the Mighty Sphinx.  
Sphinx: “Gulp!” swallows the chewed dates “They could’ve been sweeter… Bring forth more!”  
Slave 1: “Th-that’s all we managed to harvest, your Excellency. It’s all the dates we had.”  
Sphinx: growls and shows off her teeth with a stare of pure dis-content at the slave  
Slave 1: “But I can will go check if there’s more right away! Or if we’re able to mature them faster even!” flies away in a hurry  
Sphinx: yells loudly “And tell the priests that perfume me to get down here! My wings lack the wonderful oils so they can shine again!”
 
After a few minutes two new slaves enter the cave with an old wagon with a sheet covering the content. They walk towards the big staircase in front of the Mighty Sphinx.
 
Slave 2: “Mighty Sphinx!” both stops at the bottom of the stairs “After countless hours of hard work and forging of every last bit of gold from the city, the gold smiths have produced your jewellery!”  
Sphinx: looks down with huge anticipation but manages to keep her cool with her tyrant stare “Excellent! Show me!”  
Slave 3: removes the sheet and reveals the beautiful and symbolic jewels. He lifts them up using his magic and they fly towards the Sphinx. The rings slide down one of the claws in her paw  
Sphinx: observes the rings with a small amount of scepticism “You, the one that spoke. Get over here!”  
Slave 2: swallows nervously and moves slowly up the stairs until he’s right in front of her

Sphinx: “Why is the scarab orange?”  
Slave 2: Uhm… I don’t know! I’m just delivering them!”  
Slave 3: “The gold smiths supposedly figured it had the right symbolic colour.”  
Sphinx: “Symbolic?! Yeah… the scarab is a symbol of luck. But the red colour is a symbol of death and misfortune as well!” She leans closer to Slave 2 while she shows her sharp teeth in anger “Are the gold smiths insinuating I bring death and misfortune?!”  
Slave 2: “N-no! I sure do hope not!”  
Sphinx: “Then bring me a new ring with the scarab but carved from a malachite!” She takes of the ring and throws it at the wagon, so it rolls several meters backwards “And make the gold smiths bring it personally!”
 
Both slaves take the wagon and runs towards the exit.
 
Slave 2: hard at breath “I’ll send them right away!”  
Slave 3: “I’ll make sure the ring turns out as you please, your Excellency!” both slaves disappear out the doorway  
Sphinx: smiles contently and shuffles comfortably in the enormous pillows “What riddle would fit the doomed?” her eyes glow with an evil enjoyment
